The last 10 years the refereing is scandalous and especially in favor of certain teams (Olympiacos, CSKA, Spanish and Turkish teams) that "loved" Bertomeou and his managment through the years. The funny thing is that you set a question and avoid critisism about all the outrageous situations that take place in this corrupted Euroleague....You should know better and stop asking about the obvious...

The very fact that refs did (another) mistake in a ball possession, has nothing to do with the fact that Teodosic was out of line, kicking the ball at the marketing stands. They are two completely different things and if Teodosic has kept his calm the refs, would have revised their decision and would have given the possession to Virtus (as they eventually did). Other than that the refs were terrible both ways yesterday and both teams had their right to complain. Olympiacos coach and team just kept their calm on some last min decisions like the 3 free throws on Teodosic and a foul secs later on a drive of a Virtus player that Mustafa Fall was called for, while Virtus lost their calm on some refs last min decision ,in the worst possible timing both inside and outside the court. That made the difference

Bartzokas took a technical foul complaining for a mistake that we didn't even see as a replay in TV. Teodosic took a T for a mistake that refs recalled after watching it 3min in replay
bartzokas took a T because he started arguing with the crowd, under recent regulations it is punishable, Milos took a T because he lost his temper and kicked the ball(not the first time he gets ejected btw) both of the calls were justified . PS: these are the facts , not my opinion on the matter
Terrible mistakes for both teams and whoever lost would have the right to be angry with the refs. Papanikolaou clearly didn't get fouled but fall's block and teodosic's three were called fouls aswell. Teodosic technical is obviously a right call. Reacting like that even before the refs check the replay is not acceptable
The referees just lost control of the game. They didnt have a clear intention to help olympiacos. The 3 free throws, the last foul on jeleye, and the fall blocking foul on a clear block were the mistakes againg olympiacos
Scariolo knows how to use refs and they usually help his teams. Ao when there is some issues he elevates the issue to bring back the refs pushing his teams. It is like the saying “baby will cry to get milk”

We are great but since at the beginning we had no experience we are 8-11, so 15 games left, we need a 10-5 to close 18-16 and have chance to catch a playoff slot. Teodocic should know that review follows such decisions..I remember him when playing for Olympiacos' super team over a decade ago. Euroleague MVP back then. Team mate with Papaloukas, Bourousis, Josh Childress. Super talented, top passing and scoring, but also easy loosing his mind... One of best passer ever.

That particular foul yeah, hard punishment... but on the other hand you don't do like a kid and kick the ball if you are angry. The next call was fair they gave the ball to virtus as it should be... I have watched many games till now and I believe that it depends on the referee some make good calls and others don't, and they can change a match... Whatever, I believe that this will not change, teams should learn to play around it, and not get frustrated.
@@tmo5944 not all but some were. Big names get a push some times, the Gasols a little more than usually. But overall amazing team and deserved most of those won 70%. It is also smart team play to fool the referees so both refs in for example Spain Eurobasket games and some other, but also theatrics of pushing-hurting behing tef backs or falling like Al Pacino in front of refs.

We are talking far too much about refereeing. And we are right to do so. But this has to change. It is a problem and it has to be fixed! We must improve refereeing to that level that we no longer have to talk about it.
It is so many years that Olympiacos plays unsport defense with consecutive fouls and end have until the last minutes of periods one or two fouls. Yesterday players like Mc Kisic made decades of fouls and end the game with zero fouls. Of course something happens.
I would like Scariolo to elaborate what "series" of referee mistakes he means. The foul on Ojeleye was wrong but other than that what else? They got a couple of dubious calls in their favor afterwards.
Yet another terrible refereeing, they are making terrible decisions every game now and actually affecting the score, the worst part is that I don't think they want to help any team they are just that bad... I thought FIBA refs were bad after the Eurobasket but EL refs decided to give them a run for their money...

Unfortunately the refs are mostly previous athletes who failed to play basketball at a high level. They are not there to dominate the game but to upgrade and protect the sport. Anyway this is a quite serious issue that has not been addressed by the responsible authorities properly yet…

The play that Milos got the 2nd technical over was a correct call by the refs.
