2:30 I think that clutch is misaligned with the winch. I know because I once made this mistake and broke the clutch. Maybe that bit of stainless hardware on the gunwale is a fairlead. It is a beautiful boat. I think the straight bow is also to maximize hull speed. This 38' foot boat is at the waterline 6" longer than my 46' Hunter.
In kayaks what I noticed on a try all the different kayaks day. My friend George brought a GPS. The Greenland shaped kayaks with the traditional raked bows were kicking up a bow wave and seemed like they were really moving. GPS: 3 knots. The long vertical bow 'yaks made almost no bow wave, seemed kind of slow and boring. 4.5 knots.

The bimini is installed after delivery. It is made to be easily removed if necessary. This is the norm with production boats.
