Beyond description ‼️
Spheres, cease
your melodious revolutions;
silver-tongued spirits,
abandon your songs:
hark, contemplate
the hand, the lip, the face
of paradise.
Tell me: was ever
such music played,
has such a melody
ever resounded in heaven
issuing from you, as that sung by
the hand, the lip, the face
of paradise?
Here alone
the siren cannot lull and lure
the sailor to his death
with treacherous song:
for all are intent upon
the hand, the lip, the face
of paradise.
Sphères, cessez
vos rondes sonores ;
I think Marco Beasley‘s and „Private Musicke’s“ interpretation of this nice song beats this one with ease. L'Arpeggiata performs very nice but the singer‘s voice sounds quite intrusive especially in its hights. Just my personal opinion!
Your videos are great and I would like to repost your channel exactly on a nice platform named Gan Jing World. If this sounds interesting to you, please respond to me. Many thanks!
