    Somehow I missed the 2024 temperature blanket project even though I'm subscribed. Maybe my notification bell was not set right. Hopefully I'm good to go now

    This was just so much fun and I can't believe it has been 12 months! I learned so many new crochet stitches and the blanket is huge but I'm very proud of it. Thank you for your amazing tutorials. I was always worried that each month I'd get confused with the new stitch pattern but you made it very easy. I'm left-handed and I had no problem following your directions. Now I can finally put away all of the leftover yarn that has been in my family room for the past year. haha.

    If it helps anyone calculate - I used #4 weight yarn Loops & Threads Impeccable.
    My blanket measures 54 inches by 82 inches. ( before border)
    I used 1 ball of yarn for 3rounds of HDC. I had a small amount left over( maybe 2” ball wound loose) The yarn specs are 285 yds ( 260 m) 4.5 oz ( 127.5 g)

    I love this blanket. I can’t wait to start the border. It’s definitely been an inspiration. My coffee table is going to look naked without my basket filled with yarn and my temperature blanket, lol. Thank you Tiffany and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family 🎉

    I need to start November & December to catch up. This has been an adventure. I enjoyed learning new stitches & seeing how they worked up. I like this border but look forward to see what you come up with for those if use with wonky sides. 💜😁

    Thank you so much for this fun project and all the work you put in. I was not sure if I would make it to the end, but now I just need to do the border. This was so much fun and I love my blanket. I also started a new one for 2024. I will use the same stitches but a different yarn and different colors. Thanks for your hard work and all the best for 2024. ❤

      AWE! You are so sweet! I didn't quite get the chance to prep for a 2024 Temperature Blanket plan as I tried to finish the 2023 blanket with a border. I am hoping to begin a Sampler Blanket Crochet Along project soon though with new stitches to play with this year. I hope you can join that one. 🤗❤️🧶

    Thank you for all of your hard work in planning and teaching us this blanket. I have learned so much this year and have loved this project. I had to get out of my comfort zone on some of the stitches, but so glad that I pushed thru and mastered those. I will never have to avoid patterns with a puff stitch again. Thanks again and good luck with your new yarn adventure. I can’t wait to purchase it and create beautiful things.

    2 questions - How often do you wash your blankets and any tips for washing acrylic so that the blanket stitches stay beautifully intact and do not “puff” and how do you display/ store your crochet blankets ?

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  7 місяців тому +2

      All fantastic questions! I try to only wash my crocheted blankets when they are clearly dirty. Whether you see that it's dirty or a smell develops. I have teenagers...... I wash my acrylic blankets in the washing machine on Gentle Cycle and dry on gentle cycle so that you remove the blanket and it is still slightly damp. Then lay it flat to continue drying the rest of the way. The thing you really want to control when washing your blankets is that it is being overly tossed about cause that can induce felting and you don't want the blanket to dry completely because the stitches will shrink and can fuzz. I personally don't do anything special when storing my blankets though I have heard some people will place their blankets in plastic totes or mesh type bags to keep the dust off of them. I hope this helps! 😊🧶❤️

    Hi Tiffany! I started crocheting last winter and found your 2023 temperature blanket information sometime shortly after that. I'm eager to use your 2023 information to start a 2024 temperature blanket. I've purchased my starting yarn and have all of your monthly patterns printed out. Seeing how large your 4 weight blanket turned out, I'm wondering if you might advise a row every 3rd day rather than every 2nd day. Would you anticipate any issues with doing this to keep the blanket under 7 feet? I appreciate any insight you might have on this. Thank you so much for your channel and your guidance in my first year of crocheting.

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  7 місяців тому +1

      HI!!! I am so excited for you to work up this project!! Great idea working a row every 3 days. It's actually really cool that you can reflect on the outcome of this project to make adjustments. The Calendars will obviously be off for 2024 but you can always use an updated calendar to work with. I believe the row every 3 days should help significantly. Keep in touch as you are working away on this project. I would love to see how it's going. If you get a chance, check out my Crochet Club Membership on my Website! It's an opportunity for me to see you and you project in person. 🤗🤗 Link: members.crochetwithTiffany.com

    This was a great project! First thing I ever crocheted, I’m so proud of myself. I do have one question. I have a part in the middle that I don’t like at all (remember learning as I went along). Is there a way to remove a part and the put the blanket back together? I’d like to redo the section, but don’t know how to reattach. Please help!

    • @CrochetWithTiffany
      @CrochetWithTiffany  7 місяців тому

      Hi Christine! I'm so happy you joined me in this Temperature Blanket project for 2023! So excited for all the new stitches you got to play with. Unfortunately there is no way of removing a section out of a blanket. That would be awesome if we could! The only way to do it would be to undo the blanket to that point and the rework forward without that one section. It sucks, I know, an unfortunate experience many of us crocheters know all too well. BUT, your work that you redo afterwards will look 100 x's better because now you have experience with working it. I hope all the best for you. 😊❤️🧶

    Have you made a temperature blanket in the round - a circle I mean? I'd like to do that for 2025 but have no creative ideas for pattern or how to delineate each day. I feel a round per day would be too much before long
