    I was surprised to hear in this video that tea was used by the British for a light dinner. I found this information very interesting because I didn't know that tea was used in this sense. Thank you very much Aga.

    Lovely video .Thank you for this content.The most surprising thing was how difficult it is to understand different accents straight away. I visited the Uk on March 2024 for my very fist time and it was not so easy going to understand the Scottish accent.Another thing that was very surprising for me was that most things in the UK works from left to right.Very unusual for someone who is used to do everything from right to left.

      The Scottish accent can be very hard to understand, so I know what you mean!

    Very interesting. Thank you. I'm Italian and I have two questions to ask. a) Even if you say "bathrooms don't tend to have sockets in it...", is this due to British safety laws and regulations or is it customary? b) Why do you prefer to have two taps, one for hot water and the other for cold water on bathroom sinks? Isn't it more hygienic to have a single mixer tap, like you have in the kitchen sink, for washing your hands, so you don't have to clean the sink every time or you don't risk scalding your hands under the hot water tap?

      @english_with_aga  6 місяців тому +1

      I personally don’t get it at all and prefer to have one mixer tap! I know some people like to have a separate cold water tap for brushing their teeth 🤷🏻‍♀️ And yes - the socket thing is to do with regulations. You can have a special toothbrush/shaver-only socket fitted, though

    You forgot to say it is always raining in the UK and the weather changes suddenly , so don't forget to take your umbrella with you always when you go out .

    • @english_with_aga
      @english_with_aga  6 місяців тому +1

      It depends where you live! It is true that some regions can have a lot of rain but living in London I can tell you the climate is quite mild and dry here - we do get good weather a lot!

      Rain is nothing compared to snow. I lived in Canada for 5 years and broke my hands shoveling snow every day from November to May. I didn't need to go to the gym, I just put on some muscle.😀😀😀

      Umbrellas are useless in the UK, because the wind blows them.

    What I don‘t understand why the public transport doesn‘t run on 25/12. Here in Germany you have 24/7 run of the public transport

    Very useful ✨
    I had opportunities to work with British people so we discussed about different cultures .
    Frozen tea 🍵, tea with milk or milk with tea, I forgot which one I put it first in my cup 🤭.
    I like the power supply , 24 volts not 220 volts like most of the countries around the world .
    Thank you so much 😊.

    What about the heavy rain? Twisted? In some countries, rain is prohibited by law. And not to mention the electrical voltage, which is 120V compared to the rest of Europe. And dangerous driving on the left side of the road.😯😯😯😏😄😄😄

    • @english_with_aga
      @english_with_aga  6 місяців тому +1

      I really don’t understand why we have to drive on the left…. it’s super inconveninent as I would love to take my car to France for example and drive around but I’d be too scared to drive on the other side

      @@english_with_aga It all started as a custom and the position of the charioteers on the chariots in order to safely move each other. But the British government passed a general act in 1776 about driving on the left side of the road because it was dangerous to suddenly change traditions and customs to avoid coalition.😄😄😄
