I just love the imagery of "a kitty cat at a party" - that made me laugh out loud! I love your dance breakdowns - I always see things I missed even though I've seen this choreo dozens of times. 💜 14:34 They actually peel off in age order from oldest to youngest, kind of like, "check out our baby bro - isn't he cool?" 21:24 When Suga was out recovering from shoulder surgery at the end of 2020, they didn't change any of their choreo to fill the gap - they purposefully left it there. So at the end of "On," there'd be an empty space that they'd put their arms around as if he was there. Every performance, they let everyone know that someone was absent, that he was very much missed, and that they wouldn't be whole until he returned. 🥺
The background dancers are from the dance group called the LAB out of LA. Sienna Lalau, the choreographer, was only 19 at the time when she choreographed this. She's the person you see in the beginning of the ON Kinetic Manefesto Film: Come Prima mv who raises her eyebrow.
as a testament to the lab's professionalism (as well as bts'!), one of the drummers actually fumbles his drumstick when it's passed back to him and drops it on the floor without any time for him to pick it back up. and around 2:10 in the video, if you look closely, you can see another dancer in the back smoothly pick the drumstick up so no one trips on it. it's such a flawless cover up that really tells you how good of dancers they all are! the dance break with the lab cheering them is possibly my all time favorite part of their choreography videos! ON is one of their hardest choreo, so those cheers help keep that energy up so much through the intense dance break
BTS also said how much the cheering of the dancers helped them stay as intense and energized as they were towards the end, they really loved it!! You’re right, it must be totally different kind of energy, especially with such a big group. (I’m never getting over JK’s double spin during that last chorus, by the way) A video you might enjoy is “Watch BTS learn their dances” by Fandoms unite, it’s a compilation video of them literally practicing and discussing their moves, you can also see glimpses of Mr Son, their stage director/choreographer/creative director who’s been with them since they were trainees. “When j-hope switches to dance teacher mode” by sugarmyy is a series of compilation videos that are also super interesting :)
Margaret, you might also enjoy their live performance of ON at Grand Central Terminal in NYC (at something like 3:00 am because it had to be when the station was empty).
Yay you did a reaction to this! I knew you were going to go love when the dancers were hyping them up. I always love your reactions esp as a known dancer, it’s cool to hear you explain things and also funny too lol.
I WAS WAITING FOR THIS AAAA (nvm me being late to the party :') ) Thank you so much for the vid! It's so fun listening to you explain things, even a dumdum like me can understand and appreciate the details of the choreo! Love you, keep doing the good work
4:23 “Half of your energy is just attempting to not get hit by people…”. When BTS performed Black Swan live for the first time (on James Corden’s show, I believe), one of the members accidentally kicked J-hope in the head - he said later he was dazed - and you can’t tell because Hobi just kept on going. Incredible.
This was great! I love how reactors always catch things I don't. Please check out their performance of Run BTS at the Busan Concert! You won't be able to see as much of the choreography, since it's a performance, but it's their newest one, and it's fire! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Believe Sienna from the Lab also choreographed Run BTS. There is a fancam from a higher angle that really shows the choreo much better, although the sound quality is poor. The Bangtan Bomb one is a frontal static camera from fairly far away and it's hard to see a lot of the details and it collapses the depth of the formations, although you can see the whole stage.
Hi, again, Margaret! If you have time, could you react to BTS’s dance practice video for Run BTS? It’s amazing - so many elements and the backup dancers are awesome with BTS members just dancing their a****s off. 🙏
Hii, I think you might like Serendipity by Jimin of Bts on stage, I think that performance and dance is very nice, I think you might like it, could you react to it?😊
ohh and the music melodically I love it I don't know but when I listen to it I think a lot about the sea, the waves on a beach, I don't know why but I love that😅

Aww I love how they left a hole! For such a fun and energetic dance, the ending is really touching

oof 3am! I can't imagine doing this full out at 3am! I'll have to check it out :)
@@margaretpughdance Not to mention having to dance on a slippery marble floor... I'm just glad no one got hurt.
Thank you for your thoughtful reactions to the dance practices! I'm not a dancer and I always learn so much!
I'm so glad! Thank you for watching :)

Spacial awareness is the real struggle of dancing haha

I love at 18:17 the dancers actually yell "two times" as Jungkook does the double spin.
