I've been watching a lot of speedruns of this game lately, and I have to say that it's kind of ironic how, despite artemis not being in the main god lineup, crits are still the most busted thing in the game through her keepsake
I’ve just tested a new and the strongest build in Hades 2.
I know that everybody say, that he got the best.
But hear me out.
Torches with aspect of Mel
Special Zeus with a lot of poms
Aphrodite’s attack or sprint or cast.
Theire Duo Boon makes Zeus Blitz trigger faster and deal 3 times more damage, if your sprint into the enemys.
The torches are the only weapon where the omega special deal damage while you’re sprinting.
If you get Zeus special with a high rarity the enemy’s get about 1000 damage every half second. This is absolute insane.
No hammers needed. No legendary boons. Maybe a chaos boon for mana isn’t bad
I know there are some build that deal quite the same amount of damage but not that easy without hammers and stuff.
I wonder if they could make a UI tweak where you can see what you've banished if you have that vow activated.
This would be very helpful (but I do not know how they'd do it).

moros has been my favorite aspect since day one and it ended up getting a massive buff 💀 i am *feasting* over here brother
I hated the torches.
Then the patch happened.
I still like other weapons more but I am SO team moros now. GIVE ME THE EXPLOSIONS STICKS PLS
When streamer turns down silver wheel going into tartarus and you realize almost half the video is left O.o
After the Buffs, you can tell the enormous difference between patches, from the worst weapon to one of the best, Ygnium with Moros aspect deals a lot of damage either using Zeus, Aphrodite or Demeter, however the only thing that limits this aspect is how you approach your enemies specially on how much fear you have in your run.
torches are definitely in a good place power wise, maybe even too good, but they'll always be the hardest weapon to use effectively I think.
I did a Moros build with Poseidon on the attack and Hestia on the special, with slip and the steam duo plus some really good hammers. It was absolutely absurd how quickly everything got melted, this aspect seems like it has good build variety as far as which gods you can use.
The fact that steam consumes the slip curse bugs me. Steam adds damage but deactivated origination. So did damage go up or stay the same
@@RedDiomedes I feel like it didn’t matter since I procced slip so quickly as I was channeling the omega attack and got the hammer that made it faster. Not sure if it stopped origination from activating due to that but it was still crazy.
How do you manage to avoid getting hit so often? I feel like whenever I use this aspect I just get clapped because I can't see anything lol
I wish I could put it into words! Not sure, my typical motto is to kill stuff before it kills me.
might have been resolved already but chapstick (and lip moisturizers in general) aren't really going to do anything bad to your lips. most lip moisturizers are occlusive, meaning that they don't add moisture to your skin, they form a barrier that keeps that patch of skin from drying out with air exposure, etc. and lips suffer from rapidly moving air more than most other parts of the skin because we talk, eat, sometimes breathe, etc. with our mouths. there may be a point where a person will start relying on moisturizer instead of dealing with the actual problem that's causing dryness, but there are also cases where you can't really avoid your lips drying out (e.g. when going outside when it's very sunny or very windy) and you'll want some protection so you don't end up cracking your lips.
Sash does indeed take your armor off, but I think you only lose 20 armor (this much the sash initially gives you)
I can highly recommend Pyro Technique (Hestia / Hera duo) with the torches. I had it with Moros and I was running Fire Extinguisher racking up very nice rapid damage on top of the regular Hera omega attack, with Origination built in to the build. The funny part was I got offered a sacrifice to put Zeus on the special, which I took because Blitz was so easy to activate, so all of the burn was coming from the duo and I had no Hestia core boons. Also obviously taking full advantage of Broken Gain before it gets nerfed to oblivion.
Pyro is Hestia's legendary. The Duo is called Funeral Pyre
By the way, I would consider failed runs still worth watching and cool.
it might be a cool psych out sometimes to include a failed run before or after the successful run.
What fear would you say you can win 50% of the time no futher.
I am going to guess 38 fear, but would not be shocked if you can pull off 42 fear 50% of time.
I don't mind showing failed runs that are interesting but we aren't losing often right now since I'm not pushing difficulty. However typically a run that dies means it was a slog the entire time, not just a sudden death at the end.
have you tried aspect of melinoe on the flames and omega attack spam with master conductor, it is so fun
Did some testing, Moros blast scales with Attack, not Omega attack so Huntress is great.
Even when you are using your omega attack?
@@levipeterken4020 yes, the initial hit is omega, but the Moros explosion scales as a regular attack.

also the purpose of the dress at that point is magic which is solved by wheel anyways
Not sure if it applies to all chapstick, but using too much can cause your lips to feel more chapped, making you want to use even more
Seems like it was smooth sailing right up until Chronos, but since you had one last death defiance and a build that was semi malfunctioning, still seems like it was managed level of fear.
Think you would of surivived if you fully upgraded the enemy speed?
The torches went from being my least favorite to basically running it everytime just because it works with all olympians except i think hepastheus
sometime soon can you make a tier list for each god’s attack, special, cast, and magic regen boon? ik u might be holding off on it because the game is in early access and things are subject to change, would just enjoy it :)
That's tough when it 100% depends on each weapon and aspect really.
You didn't notice during the run, but you banished Ionic gain right at the start lol
Moros is just so much fun to play since the update, loving it.
Moros was my favorite weapon pre-patch, and is even better now! Moros gang is eating good

I did a build just like this with Poseidon on attack and Hestia on special and the steam duo, it was awesome.

Triple Helix is probably the best hammer for this becuase it means none of your attacks make it outside your specials. Effectively doubles your immediate damage.
Triple helix you are right about, but origin coil is actually one of the worst hammers for moros because it stops the omega specials from following you, forcing you to recast the special for every place you want to shred enemies in, rather than just obliterating multiple groups with the same omega special

is there ever a time to use hephaestus core boons @haelian it feels like there isn’t
I occasionally use them for some quirky CLANG builds but outside of the satisfying sound effects, they aren't really that good. Although smithy sprint is actually very good since you can pom it for more damage unlike the other ones
I dont think so. He's like a bad version of Ares.
If I'm doing an attack build with twin blades the special is nice. Can't complain about a safe bonk for 400 damage from halfway across the arena. That's all I use it for though
He is really good for defence though. Especially if you are using white antler.
@@michaelbotch3538 Not really. Unlike ares, hephaestus is very good for defence in your build especially if you are using white antler.

I must admit, kinda sad old eos is gone, it was my favorite aspect and I still don't know what I really think about the new one
The new one looks more interesting than the old one to me. That said older eos is now a hammer. So you can still use it kinda.
