1. Don't ask 40% or 60% hike, tell exact number. Like "I want 20 LPA" Never say percentage. And don't say "as per industry standard... etc" that is wrong. LOL.
2. Research on that company and try to find out average salary on that role. Let's say currently your CTC is 4 LPA and the company for that role can give 15 LPA then ask for 15 or little bit above.
3. Don't worry about interview was good or bad... oh my god I should accept this ctc as my interview was not good... no. You don't need to think about it. You have cleared the interview that's it.
4. Most importantly, have an exact figure(LPA) in your mind and tell the HR. and if you don't like the offer say it that you can't go with this offer. Belive me guys HR will be in panic. Coz he/she needs to do again the interview process like shortlisted the resume from 1000 candidate, then schedule the interviews (3-4 rounds) then again select out of them, meaning that all the process again. So if you have cleared the interviews and came to salary negotiation round then HR will not reject you because of few lakhs. Maximum she can say that they don't have budget. that's it.
5. Prepare for salary negotiation round. Remember HR will get promotion if they hair good candidate with less salary and they are getting paid for this. They spend their whole life on this. And how much you spend for this 10 minute round which will decide your future? 0.
So it is obvious that they will win. haha.
Be confident and remember this 10 minute will decide your future lifestyle.
All the very best.

I have seen companies which roams around with 30% hike board and refuses to negotiate on that. Sadly, had to say no to them. In short there is not always a salary range for a role, it can be take it or leave it kind of deal.
This is true and I thankfully turned down one company because they are like hiring for lower salary just to close the position
This is a very useful video and I recently negotiated with the recruiter and I can't stress enough how important this skill is. You're doing a wonderful job educating your subscribers about this. Best wishes to you!
Fun Fact : Whatever he said sadly only exist for IT field
Correct. At the end of the day it's down to the budget the company has for that position.
Hard truth
IT people earn alot
This trend can be change once employees having multiple offers with
Pharma me bhi yahi he bahi
Negotiation is not our job, these HRs are hired based on this negotiation skills too,
You can only be rigid iff
1- Performance in Interview
2- Immediate joiners( how soon you can join, if already running on notice period, 'Advantage'
3- another offer In hand.
And ofcourse the budget,
Remember only one thing if you are in so much need of that job, and you don't have any offer in hand, you can't negotiate much with these HRs
When system is not very good everything becomes art. Wiping floor is also an art. 🤭🤭
I also switched my company because they gave an appraisal of just 400 something rupees. This pissed me off to resign, 3 days later i was working in another company. Funny thing is they didn't realise i was gone till the time i asked for my relieving letter 😂
Which company have 400rs hike
It's all about timing and how urgent requirement is... talk as less as possible to HR and always mention a number and stick to it.dont show desperation at any stage when you talk and be patient
I asked for a certain hike the HR said ok and gave the offer letter 🤦
Should've asked for more.
Always ask for more guys, if not possible the HR itself will say no, but set your standards high
A lot of things can be ruined because of bad communication skills
A very nice video. Please keep making such videos
Honestly, I don't think one should think about negotiation even at the end of your notice period. In the end, it's business and everything is fair in it. Love your work, not the company.
HR discuss and finalize your salary expectation in the beginning of interview itself,They don't move beyond their budget actually.
I can definitely relate to the point of performing well in an interview. I was recently interviewed for a startup, and I managed to outperform the panel's expectations. As a result, I got a hike of ~120%. However, there is still one question that bugs me a lot, and I would love your inputs on the same, Krish Sir.
My question is, how do you answer this question, "What are your salary expectations (i.e., expected CTC)?" This simple looking question is often troublesome and can create some hurdles later during the negotiations if you have not answered it properly. Please do provide your thoughts on this.
Once, again thank you for your time and for sharing your precious experience with us.
You definitely make a good point. This question is like a double-edge sword it can work wonders if the HR answers and cut you down to size when the get offended, I myself have wondered upon this many times but as a fresher don't know how to put forward this question. I hope Sir answers this!
same as that in market 😂i even once said directly to the recruiter what's ur budget? 😂n he said tell ur expectations
Tell what you are withdrawing and also tell before applying to the post i have researched on the salary offered for this post and those numbers are satisfactory. Then you can say + 20% to 30% of what you have found. You may tell the figure also, be careful about you over-expecting so give a hint that you are negotiable. It shouldn’t be like nai bhai mujhe to itna hi chahiye.
@@sagarmurmu2569 don't you think that the salary offered for exact same post in different companies can vary ❓
@@AnuragSharma-mq2gn yes it varies it also depends on the budget allocated to recruit the people. Let’s say 20L for 2. Chances are there one may get 12LPA and other may get 8LPA. But the recruiter tries to fit all the required employees to fit within the budget given to him
Man, power of negotiation.
I went from 7 LPA to 20+ LPA with 7 months of experience.

Sir my previous salary was 25.5k inhand after 4+ yrs, now i joined a company who is paying in 19.7k in hand, i am feeling worst that i accept the offer because of no jobs available.
What role are you doing now. Which tech stack are you using
Everyone need some guru who is showing path in every aspect like u
Summary: if performed well in the interview, ask for 80 to 100 percent hike else go for whatever they offer.
Always check the average salary of the company using third party website
Problem is...it is almost impossible to get the actual average salary..data on such sites are not at all reliable
I want 150% hike as my base is low
@@wewe-fx6unYes initial stage of career you should demand more % hikes.
HR is just a spoke person…
Upper management and sales or project Manager will take the final amount to be decided
I have to disagree on one point. Using other company offer to negotiate higher salary offer at another Company is not a bad move. I believe it is the only way to get a better hike in many cases, and should be used in any case possible at any stage of your career. All companies are out there to shaft you. It is in their best interest to pay as less as possible. If you were the owner of the company, you would also want to pay as less as possible.
And if the company decides, they simply remove the employee without thinking about his commitments even if he is a performer, being loyal with work and skill is mandatory than trusting company
I don't understand when you say "if you did well in the interview", I think it's fairly obvious that you did well, better than the others, because you're the one they selected. One exception to this is if their 1st selected turned off the offer, and you're the backup, then you wasn't the better, but still did pretty well interview.
None of HR will tell you interview went well. They always tell not very well
That's true, In my first transition, huge% hike in my salary.
From 4.2LPA to 14LPA,18LPA&20 as well

Sir,
Thanks a lot for this valuable content. I want to understand can we negotiate with HR after receiving formal offer letter? It's been 1 week i hv received it and my technical interviews went amazing, interviewer gave me a very positive feedback within interview itself

I got more than 100% of hike
But in 5 months only company did layoff becouse company lots it's business 🤣🤣
This is a common and known fact that based on the interview performance we can negotiate our package...

i am late for it but Thank u so much you sharing these knowledge.
My interview went well and I did not even tried to negotiate with HR now I got only 30% hike and I got the offer letter also can someone tell me what should I do now? Can I ask for new offer letter?? Please help!
You can only negotiate if you are ok with not accepting the final offer if it does not suit you.
But If you are needy and have fear of losing the offer you logically you will not negotiate.
Sir, very informative video. Can you share your thoughts like what can I ask as a fresher? & also how to deal with companies that ask for salary expectation at the initial stage of the interview? Sometimes they press too hard for a number without revealing their number.
You cannot actually sad but true

I find many times recruiter try to bring down salary, citing that employee wasn't working for some years..It was break..Further I feel if the requirements are very critical, company will pay good..But if that's not, company will offer lesz
Thank you so much for information.. really appreciate

What if I gave HR a kitkat 😂 50 /50
Very informative video . Krish Bhai is my from Hometown . All the best 👍😄
I am a fresher how do i negotiate while i am being hired for an internship?
While negotiating, do we get to know if thats possible or not at same time or HR needs time.
If you are asking something completely out of range, then HR will say it is not possible and give you his highest figure. Based on that you can ask him more or something 2-3L above that and settle. With my experience I can say, if you nailed the interview, and interviewers think you are the best fit, then HRs will be afraid of losing you to the competition firm, so they will accept your figure normally.

I don't agree with you on this at all, first of all this 3 month's notice is absurd, companies who hv 3 month's notice don't want to wait for 3 months when it comes to their hiring, so it's turning employees into slaves and should go away, when in US people can go with 2 weeks notice whts so special in india, understand we don't hv social security in india like the developed world incase the employer decides to fire but 3 month is definitely on the higher side, now on the ethical issue of ditching the employer who supposedly waited for u for 3 months, first of all employers hv multiple options they line would hv lined up as a fallback policy and also unless they really liked u or their actual requirement for the person is 6 months from now thy don't offer u in the first place if u hv more than 60 days notice, plus why shd the employee compromise on the quality of offer if they hv time in hand, it's not always about money or the CTC many other things are also there to be considered, and this is the only time an employee is in a stronger position in the employee employer relationship, it doesn't take much for any employer to fire anybody on any given day, I hv seen this many times, so it's in the best interest of the person to choose right to the best of their judgement at the time of entry and the best is not always by the CTC amount, things hv to be looked holistically
Its to reduce attrition rate. In US there is a standard pay scale for every citizen. Which is not applicable for India. In India there is no limit for minimum pay, so every body badly looks for a switch. So mostly IT companies have 3 month notice.
@@MsRAJDIP this is just the extension of lack of trust and exploitative nature in India's corporate environment, you can't hv these policies in the developed world, you can't keep a disgruntled employee for long, the right to liberty and freedom of choice is respected unlike here, but as I said on the flip side this acts as a buffer when the employer decides to throw you
One can do all this, if they realise their real worth! ✌️
Offer is not the end. Every position has a budget, if you are offered more. Your hike will be lesser. To be eligible for good hike you need to get promoted which will take you to next position and the budget of the position will be high.
Try this in BPO it would fail big time
