I purchased the Bronde mermaid locs and did what you did, purchase an extra pack. They’ve been sitting in the closet for 2 weeks leading up to my trip to St Thomas this week. Bah-Hum-Bug about the loose hair. That’s what I was excited about the contrast.
I was also soooo nervous and am now soooo ready to get them installed tomorrow 😍 This video helped my anxiety. Thanks Beautiful! They still look GREAT!!

Check Lulu’s channel on How to maintain to loose hair. Add conditioner and a gel to keep the hair from tangling.
Hey lady your hair looks great, I watched the first video and it still practically looks the same. Thank you for that tip about twisting the loose hair so that it doesn't get tangled as much. I know that was a complaint a lot of people had. I can't wait to have my locs installed next week. Also I agree that you should be able to purchase the loose wavy hair but my suggestion in the meantime is to go to the beauty supply store and get a pack of loose wavy here to use.

GORGEOUS and yes I find it annoying they do not sell the wavy single packs too. Especially because it tangles and matts. I put in the Beach Hot Fudge but I had to cut all the wavy hair out after a week! It was a matted mess. I also get a lot of shedding and tangling of the locs themselves, which is annoying for hair this expensive!! Maybe find another company that has wavy crochet braids just to swap those. That's what I am having to do. I bought some human hair and am putting that in to achieve that look.

It looks absolutely stunning on you! I just ordered it for myself. It seems like you aren’t the only person experiencing issues with the wavy synthetic pieces. I contacted boholocs asking if they do human hair. They responded back saying they did a survey a while back and quite a few people asked for a human hair wavy pack instead of synthetic with the mermaid locs. As the synthetic becomes matty and unruly after a few days which I guessed. So what I’m doing is ordering the mermaid boho locs but also ordering a pack of wavy human hair to install with them instead of the synthetic. That way they last longer? I’m hoping they do incorporate human hair soon as the mermaid locs bundle is pointless if you have to remove the base pieces in a matter of days. 😕
In all how long were you able to have/maintain them?
Yea girl! And I contacted them about just being able to purchase a single pack of wavy hair, and they said the don’t do that. I kept them in for about 6-8 weeks and I was ok. And I just cut out the pieces that got really matted
if you go rn on the clearance section they have lots of wavy hair so hurry!!

I feel like they don’t sell the wavy hair separately because they want you to buy the full pack. That’s the only reason I can think of for them to not have it.

Hi I was waiting to see your update. I started my crochet journey with boho locs. I have bought all the different styles including the twists. I cannot justify their pricing. There are so many options for locs now that you can do a full head for half the price. I also determined as far as the wavy hair goes that I can just buy some loose crochet hair with a similar pattern. I have the black queen locs and I bought black human crochet hair to go in between those.
Yeah I hear ya on that! I also thought about buying crochet hair like you said ! I do still like the look and color of boho Locs and im down for supporting black owned :)
I agree. The wavy Mermaid hair is ass. It's like doll hair and too tangly. I have to keep swapping it out. It really should be sold separately.
