WoW and Ranger sell bonding embossing powder but I can’t imagine a difference between powdered fabric bonding and ‘sticky embossing powder’ unless it’s the texture being finer with embossing powder. Does powdered fabric glue also stick to foil for card making? Has anyone tried using this type like sticky embossing powder to stick to ink and heating with a heat gun, applying foil until it cools and loosens? Seems a more affordable choice to me.
Hi. I am having a super hard time trying to do an all over foil on denim jeans- i got a strong adhesive for foiling fabrics (washable) and i have a small ish heat press. The result is quite spotty and not the look im going for- nor sure what to do. Curious to see if you have attempted something like that!?
No, I wouldn't wash fabric once it is foiled. I would use this foil technique on a fibre art piece or quilted wall hanging that doesn't need to be washed.

Great question Blial, I've never tried screen printing glue. I would choose a metallic paint with screen printing instead of glue and foil. You could experiment with very thin water soluble glue and wash it very quickly so you don't ruin your screen but it could be tricky. Have fun experimenting and let me know how it goes! .
@@QuilteronFire I'm checking out Foil over Metallic Ink because the Foil is more vibrant. I did some research and started off by trying the "Speedball Mona Lisa Extra Thick Metal Leaf Adhesive" And although it wasn't a complete disaster it was terribly hard to work with because of time the restrictions. Not giving up yet, I'll try another glue adhesive that doesn't dry as fast. Thanks for your reply!

Ninof33 I wouldn’t really consider putting foil on washable clothing. I would use it for fibre art or other items that won’t be washed.
