Hey everyone, thanks for watching! Don't forget to check out the tutorials as you are downloading the SSD5 FREE (Deluxe Drum Kit) and the Virtual Playing Orchestra as it can be a bit confusing to set up on your own. I ran into some trouble with both of them as I thought I was too good for a guide. 😅 P.S. I just realized that I don't actually use the Taiko samples from the pack I mentioned in my video outros (I used Structure by AIR for them), sorry!
Thank you! Great tips. My recommendation, use simpler samples. Your orchestral arrangements are awesome but it helps to appreaciate the samples when using more basic sequences.

I'll see what I can put together for orchestral drums but I'm not sure how many I can get into a video. I haven't been able to find many orchestral drums out there that are free so I'll have to do some research.

We may need a side by side comparison of sonatina, VSCO2, and the final sfz one! Versilian also has an sfz version too. VSCO2 keeps crashing reaper so if sonatina uses the same samples I might have to switch over. Which would you recommend?
Thanks for the suggestion! Oh, if you really enjoy the sounds and VSCO2 is just not working out, I would recommend checking out Sonatina and seeing if anything changes. For me personally, SFZ is a last resort as it is slightly tedious to load instruments. I do like VSCO2 over Sonatina though as there is more control and has more sounds. But, if it's not working for you, it might not be a reasonable option. I hope you enjoyed the videos, thanks for watching!
Hey, I have...no idea how to use plugins. I mean, I need a separate application to run them right? Would reaper work, or is that a different time of thing? What is the one you are using in this video? Love the recommendations, especially the drum library at the end. Nevermind, found out it was FLStudio. Gonna see if I can figure the rest out.
Nice, glad you figured it out! What you need to do is install the plugins to a folder, then link to that folder under plugin/vst directory in the DAW you use. - Basically a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) is the application that hosts plugins like these. - Then you would go into the plugin menu/picker/manager and open the plugin there or add it to a track. Each DAW will have a different way to open plugins. And yes, Reaper will work too.
I had that much figured out, but I wasn't exactly sure how to, well, use the plugin. I had a marching drum one but I can't figure out how to open the interface like how it is presented in the demo (ua-cam.com/video/NxZvm7luPUA/v-deo.html). I know what to do when it's an effects add-on like a delay thing. Thanks for being so helpful, glad to know that there are people like you out there.
Yet another amazing list of free big sounding plug ins. Thank you mate. I really love the idea of removing the lower end frequencies of the orchestral sounds so I can layer the plug in with either Serum, Sylenth or both so I can produce an interesting hardstyle melody. Thank you so much for taking your time to show these to us. Obviously I'd like to to be able to purchase Kontakt 6 but until that becomes rent to own my limited budget won't stretch that far. Cheers though mate.
You're welcome! That's a great idea for layering up a sound with synth and sample. Do you use the rent-to-own option for Serum? Splice really made a good move with starting that kind of thing.
@@TransverseAudio Yeah I use their rent to own option. I'd love to rent to buy the Spectrosonics Omnisphere but they don't have that option unfortunately. The layering mentioned above is starting to sound great. I've managed to produce an amazing wide and hard sound that has a slightly distorted top by utilising the effects chain with loads of LFO's EQ's and a couple of Izotope Trash plugins. Anyway love your videos m8 looking forward to the next one.
Nice, and that would be a cool idea. I was at first thinking it was way too expensive for it to be realistic until I did some quick research and it would be just the same as their rent-to-own option for Ozone Advanced at $19.99 for 25 months. It makes me realize how expensive software is and how affordable some subscriptions really are, even though the cost is usually off-putting for me. 20 a month for just over 2 years sounds insane, even though I am interested in buying iZotope's Production Suite outright, sometime in the future, at a similar price.
Another noteworthy one not mentioned is the Sine Player. just as good as the Spitfire Labs but focuses on just orchestral instruments. great list. I use them all.

Hey there i have a question about spitfire labs, does it work in windows? I use maschine software and i was wondering if it works in maschine? If you could answer this i would really appreciate it
Hey, I downloaded cloudrum but I'm having trouble getting it to work. When I boot it up in my DAW it gets an error message saying "Did not find settings file. It is abnormal. Hey! I just downloaded spitfire audio instruments because they sound amazing! BUT I am new in this so I don`t really understand how do I "reproduce" the sound? Do i need another interface in order to make those instruments play? hope you can help me.
Hey, I'm glad you enjoyed the plugins. What you need to do for them to work is you'll need a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) to host them. If you don't really want to shell out the cash for one, I made a list of free ones you can use that are really good: transverseaudio.com/posts/best-free-daws-for-music-sound-design-2019 Once you download and install them with the Spitfire plugin manager, they might be able to be used in the DAW right away or after a plugin scan. If they don't show up, you may need to add the Spitfire folder to the DAWs plugin paths or go to the folder that you downloaded them to and move the .dll files and instrument folders over to the folder your DAW uses to load plugins (probably something like VSTplugins in Program Files). Let me know how it goes and what DAW you choose so I can help you more!
Yeah, that thing really has some nice sounds. I like how it has 3 different instruments all in the same instance so you can just play higher or lower notes depending on the instrument you want.
i can't seem to use the taiko one shot with my midi keyboard. I can play one sample at a time when i drag it into SFZ but can't play the samples at all with my keyboard. They are all WAVE files? how can i properly use the complete samples to make music, instead of dragging and dropping one sample at a time into reaper.
There are two download options, one for SFZ and one for WAV files. I'm not entirely sure but I think you can just select all of the sfz files and drag them into sforzando cant you?
I'm actually not sure, what I seen on the download page was one for either but I never used the sfz one. Instead of dragging and dropping them into the sfz player, go to "instrument" and select import. Try that, it might be able to load all of them in the same instance of Sforzando.
That was awesome thanks for sharing and taking the time list the plugin links I will try them I was wondering if you know of some free plugins for Mac and PC that has Adding Width and Depth to Effects Using a Audio Stereoizer?
Hey, thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I do know of some that can do that. Check out Xfer's *dimension expander* and iZotope's *Ozone Imager* & *Vocal Doubler.* These should help you get what you're looking for and Ozone Imager will let you see what your audio is doing too. Let me know how it goes.
Hey, I don't have a video for Cubase but what you can do is install the plugin to the plugin directory that is in the settings menu of Cubase. It may be called search path or VST directory.
Just seen your video and seen in the comment section you dedicate it to God! That’s awesome I encourage you brother to keep using your voice and gift to showcase what God has done for you. Bless you
Thank you very much, it's nice to know people see the message. It's a fine line between pushy and passive it seems and hopefully it's incorporated into my work in a way that helps people instead of pushes them away.

You need to sign up for an account, then download the installer. with that you can download the plugins from the site and then install them with the Spitfire plugins manager. Quite the process but I'm sure they have a reason for doing it like that. Let me know if that doesn't work.
@@starryepidemic2532 That sucks, I really don't know what could be causing it to act like that. Trial and error /troubleshooting is like the only thing I can suggest.

I loved those, but when i downloaded the instruments from Labs, as much as i reload and click on "find new" (i'm using soundbridge), the patches just won't show up, maybe i'm doing something wrong or maybe the archive is in the wrong place, can you help me?
Hey, thanks for asking. You may have downloaded the wrong bit-version for the plugins. Did you get both 32 and 64-bit? Also, make sure the plugin is in your search path by going to the options menu and setting it in the plugin directory space. You may be able to create a shortcut for the labs folder and put it into the vstplugins folder.
When I load the plugins, the plugins themselves work fine, but when I go to make a melody in the piano roll, nothing happens and no sounds from the plugins play. Help?
@@Alt3R I think you don't have the instrument folders for each of the plugins in the same folder as your .dll files. Try moving them to the same place.
They're all in the same folder now, but I still have the same problem. I can drag and drop the plugins into the instruments section, but they just come up as "Sampler". I can mess around with the plugins themselves but its as if they aren't linked to anything so I can't edit any of them with the piano roll.
God I sure hope this works, especially Spitfire labs, because I really need something to improve my music! And just relying with the ones I currently have now isn't really helping all that much.
Hey, thanks for asking! The DAW is called FL Studio and to do what I did with each plugin you just need to load multiple instances of each plugin for each type of instrument you want to play. You'll notice I have a bunch of the same plugin open for each part and the MIDI playing on each channel. That and it just takes practice and learning!
Yeah, those darn 64-bit doors are hard to open. All joking aside, I'm glad you enjoyed the video and I'm sorry if I got your hopes up on those plugins, it's a shame so many are outdated and are still 32-bit.
Spitfire setup won't install, says this: "Download failed: An error occurred in the secure channel support . Check your connection and click 'Retry' to try downloading the files again, or click 'Cancel' to terminate setup." It says this on Windows 7 (in virtual machine) and Windows 10 (real system). None of the instruments will download unless the above Spitfire app is installed, saying "You need the Spitfire App to install LABS. "
Hey, are you wondering how to install them into your DAW or to just download them onto your computer? If you're wondering how to get them into your DAW, what one are you using?
In the Channel Rack, there are 3 options on the top right, make sure the middle one is not highlighted so it shows the MIDI notes not the step sequencer. Click on the long dark box next to the plugin in the Channel Rack to open the piano roll for that plugin.
The Sonatina Zip file is corrupted. All files are not getting extracted. The Plugin scanning process in FL studio hangs. Where did I go wrong? Please help.
The files from the zip folder are not getting extracted. I'll try again and inform you. Thank you for your prompt reply and for taking the trouble to search and try the VSTs; thereby saving our time and directing us to only what is important.
There was some issue with the version of Winzip that I was using. I uninstalled Winzip and the Sonatina VST extracted successfully :) Sorry to bother you.

Having nothing but trouble with Spitfire Audio. I am on Mac OS 10.14.4. SpitFire application loaded fine but crashes every time I try to download a sound. . I've sent a request to them.
I'm sorry that this is happening to you, it's quite strange as well. I can't remember if I had to log into the actual Spitfire application so you may need to log out then back in. If that doesn't work, maybe restart the computer as it may need to install drivers that way. Other than that, you may need to delete it and reinstall the app.

I want to connect my clavinova directly to my computer and record the instruments I want. I hope I explained myself correctly. Thanks again for the help :)
@@brunoescoto9630 Nice, I'm glad it worked! I'm sure you could use it as long as it has a USB or MIDI connector that you can plug into an audio interface with your computer. Once you do that you need to go to the settings and set it up as a MIDI device/controller. Then, you can use it to play your virtual instruments.
`Transverse Audio yes it worked perfectly! Thanks again for the help :)
Nice, I'm glad it worked out. Thanks for asking, I'm happy to help!
Hey there i have a question about spitfire labs, does it work in windows? I use maschine software and i was wondering if it works in maschine? If you could answer this i would really appreciate it
I know it will work on Windows as that is what I run. As for Maschine, I can't say for sure but you should try it out!
Labs does work and its tremendously good
Spitfire audio is incredible
They really make amazing free libraries.
I tried to get Sonatina Orchestra and it takes me to some weird Wordpress login window. Did the link change?
Maybe, I'll have to check it out as that does sound strange.
Hey, I downloaded cloudrum but I'm having trouble getting it to work. When I boot it up in my DAW it gets an error message saying "Did not find settings file. It is abnormal. Please contact service" and won't make any noise. I've looked around in all the files to see if there's something that I missed and fiddled with the settings within the plugin's interface but I just don't know how to fix it. Should I just try uninstalling and reinstalling?
Hey, thanks for asking. If you haven't, move the folder that came with the .dll to the same place as the .dll. Let me know how it goes!
@@TransverseAudio Moved everything I could find into the same place, but it still doesn't seem to be working. Would you happen to know what the folder would be called? Maybe it got misplaced.
@@TransverseAudio I uninstalled and reinstalled and tried moving stuff around again but it still didn't work.
EDIT: So I reinstalled it a third time (apparently I was supposed to *not* make a shortcut but I'm really not computer person at all and that was the default setting so it's not like I would've known ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ) and the error message stopped showing up but for some reason it's _still_ not making any sound. inb4 I gotta do it a forth time lol
If you don't really want to shell out the cash for one, I made a list of free ones you can use that are really good: transverseaudio.com/posts/best-free-daws-for-music-sound-design-2019
Once you download and install them with the Spitfire plugin manager, they might be able to be used in the DAW right away or after a plugin scan.
Cakewalk string vst is pretty good too
Yeah, that thing really has some nice sounds. I like how it has 3 different instruments all in the same instance so you can just play higher or lower notes depending on the instrument you want.
Muchas gracias por compartir, me fueron muy utiles
¡Eres muy bienvenido! Me alegra que te hayan ayudado.
Hello, just asking if you know how to fix an error where the plugin says "No instruments found". Every time I try to load it up I get that error.
Hey, I may be able to help. Try moving the .instruments folder that came with the plugin into the same location as the .dll
@@TransverseAudio It worked! Thanks for the help!
@@Axviru Sweet! Thanks for asking, I'm glad it worked.
i can't seem to use the taiko one shot with my midi keyboard.
`Transverse Audio the sfz download also contains wave files. Is that a mistake from their site or am i missing something?
I'm actually not sure, what I seen on the download page was one for either but I never used the sfz one. Instead of dragging and dropping them into the sfz player, go to "instrument" and select import. Try that, it might be able to load all of them in the same instance of Sforzando.
That was awesome thanks for sharing and taking the time list the plugin links
I will try them
I was wondering if you know of some free plugins for Mac and PC
that has Adding Width and Depth to Effects Using a Audio Stereoizer?
Basic have full control over the stereo Spectrum field for super wide and beyond ?
Hey, thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I do know of some that can do that. Check out Xfer's *dimension expander* and iZotope's *Ozone Imager* & *Vocal Doubler.* These should help you get what you're looking for and Ozone Imager will let you see what your audio is doing too. Let me know how it goes.
Does this work with GarageBand?
I'm not sure, can you use third-party plugins in that DAW?
i'm a free vst hunter, soo i had all of those :)
Nice! There are so many good ones out there and I'm sure there are more realistic ones I don't even know about yet.
works in ableton live?
Most should, if not all.
Please teach me how to download Sonatina Orchestra
Install the .dll to the folder your DAW looks in for plugins then move the instruments folder that came with it to the same place as the .dll
@@TransverseAudio fl studio 12 or 20? im currently using 12 tho
Yeah that's fine. Check out my video on installing plugins to FL Studio, I did that in 12 I believe.
hello sir ..please have you a video about how to insert Kontakt in cubase 5 Thanks a lot...
Hey, I don't have a video for Cubase but what you can do is install the plugin to the plugin directory that is in the settings menu of Cubase. It may be called search path or VST directory.
Thanks sir..
You're welcome!
I don't think I can possibly thank you enough
That is enough for me, thank you too!
God should never be a reason for anyone to be pushed away because He loves us all. Some people can accept or reject. Just keep your faith and reflect that love. Romans 1:16
Is a Harpsichord in it? Can I free use it for Reaper or another DAWs?
I'm not sure if there is a harpsichord but yes, you can use it in pretty much any DAW.
@@TransverseAudio Is there any Harpsichord for free? And is there a good starter kid for EDM music?

i cannot download "LABS" from spitfire audio if you do have it would you mind to provide a link?
You need to sign up for an account, then download the installer. with that you can download the plugins from the site and then install them with the Spitfire plugins manager. Quite the process but I'm sure they have a reason for doing it like that. Let me know if that doesn't work.

How did you get virtual playing orchestra to work in your DAW? I tried in but it gave me some weird error.
I used Sforzando and on the top left of it there it says "INSTRUMENT:" just click to the right of that and navigate to where you're keeping the VPO folder (mine was in Program Files (x86) > VSTplugins). Let me know if that works.

@@phoenixhenkle2405 There may be a download version for Mac specifically for both. Did you use those?
Can you add turkisch instrument on build version?
Hi,, I cannot find that Spitfire Audio is free .. ? .. thanks for sharing :)
You just need to download the installer they provide on the LABS page and then download each library you want to use. I hope that helps!
www.spitfireaudio.com/labs/
I loved those, but when i downloaded the instruments from Labs, as much as i reload and click on "find new" (i'm using soundbridge), the patches just won't show up, maybe i'm doing something wrong or maybe the archive is in the wrong place, can you help me?
Hey, thanks for asking. You may have downloaded the wrong bit-version for the plugins. Did you get both 32 and 64-bit? Also, make sure the plugin is in your search path by going to the options menu and setting it in the plugin directory space. You may be able to create a shortcut for the labs folder and put it into the vstplugins folder.
@@TransverseAudio Lol i just gave up and got Reaper, but thank you! I'll remember that next time.
Oh, okay. I hope you like it!
When I load the plugins, the plugins themselves work fine, but when I go to make a melody in the piano roll, nothing happens and no sounds from the plugins play. Help?
What DAW are you using? Is any other plugins built-in to the DAW working?
I'm using FL and I've gotten Nexus to work. These plugins load just fine, I just can't actually use them in the piano roll.
Oh I got it haha, I finally found the right folder. Thanks!
God I sure hope this works, especially Spitfire labs, because I really need something to improve my music! And just relying with the ones I currently have now isn't really helping all that much.
It takes some setting up (downloading and installing each instrument in LABS) but it should work.
@@TransverseAudio Just tested it now, it works great! I might go ahead and remake some I already have just to make it sound better. Thanks!

Bout to spit fire to da beats I make with spitfire. Thank u for sharing this
Happy to share, I'm glad you liked that one!
Man I have so many questions. 1st what daw is that ? Second .... How the f do you do that with each plugin that's insane 😅
5:05 Last one is fire!!!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Hi thanks for the videos, the only problem is that some of dsk vst's are 32 bit and therefore wont work with a 64 bit door like ableton
Yeah, those darn 64-bit doors are hard to open. All joking aside, I'm glad you enjoyed the video and I'm sorry if I got your hopes up on those plugins, it's a shame so many are outdated and are still 32-bit.
Spitfire setup won't install, says this:
"Download failed: An error occurred in the secure channel support
. Check your connection and click 'Retry' to try downloading the files again, or click 'Cancel' to terminate setup."
It says this on Windows 7 (in virtual machine) and Windows 10 (real system).
None of the instruments will download unless the above Spitfire app is installed, saying "You need the Spitfire App to install LABS.
"
That's strange, maybe you need to re-download the Spitfire app. What does the min system requirements say for it?

Having nothing but trouble with Spitfire Audio. I am on Mac OS 10.14.4. SpitFire application loaded fine but crashes every time I try to download a sound. . I've sent a request to them.
I'm sorry that this is happening to you, it's quite strange as well. I can't remember if I had to log into the actual Spitfire application so you may need to log out then back in. If that doesn't work, maybe restart the computer as it may need to install drivers that way. Other than that, you may need to delete it and reinstall the app.
