Careful not to get the dogs involved at the same time. when Bella is calm, try scratching at the scruff of her neck a bit. Observe. Dont scratch too long(over stimulate/annoy ). Work up to petting under her chin and jowls. Basically, she’s scenting/claiming u. At this time, she might snuggle and knead biscuits to express her comfort with u lying down. A thick blanket compensates for the claws.

A cat I used to have would really attack me in the night - she would get under the covers and initially act all loving and snuggle around my legs and then, after a few minutes she would start biting and scratching me. NOT FUN AT ALL !

Bella has grown into the most beautiful lady with the most gorgeous eyes . It's been so fun watching her grow up given we don't know her origin story other then appearing on your doorstep and just to see how far she has come and just how much she loves her home with you guys. Good to see the ladies of the house getting on a bit better :) Remember she probably sees herself as dominant especially with the dogs in the house. Cats are, surprisingly to some, often the dominant animal in the pack. So don't be afraid to put her in her place if she is scratching.

the 2nd one is very much how a cat plays, find any toy or thing and put it under a blanket, they will take that over a toy most of the time. I do it all the time with my cat, most of the time they don't seem to connect that it's your hand under the blanket so don't take it too personally when she bites you like that as technically it is just her way of playing, be thankful Chels, her playing with you with the blanket is a good thing.
