Dismantling the timing side to get to the oil feed non-return valve. Hopefully I can stop the wet sumping. 9:09 Non-return valve (spring too short) 11:23 Timing cover seals [L]
I should have watched this yesterday before parts of my gear box came out and others remained. Doh! Today will be seeing what gears line up, shimming, shift dogs... I will definitely be watching the assembly video. Thanks for taking the time and trouble to publish.
Thanks, nice to get the feedback. I went to the (much delayed) Stafford Show today. A good day out and I got a few bits I need. It was also nice to meet Angus Campbell with his BSA 1971 ‘Power Set’ collection. He confirmed that a B50 SS will probably be the next addition to his collection : ua-cam.com/users/enilaslamrof
Sounds as if you’d best take it back to whoever changed the clutch. If the clutch turns out to be OK, it could the the detent spring on the gear quadrant broken.

Glad if it's of some help. Good luck :)

I've had a new clutch putting in it
Hi me again I've got a trailblazer 250
I just had a new clutch pudding and a new kickstart spring and it's starting and running OK the clutch
It just won't go into gear properly keeps slipping out
Sounds as if you’d best take it back to whoever changed the clutch. If the clutch turns out to be OK, it could the the detent spring on the gear quadrant broken.
They're not interested they say I need it engine
The clutch is actually ok is it won't select gear properly keeps
Now won't go into gear properly
Sorry to hear this. Sounds like the clutch must be dragging - I.e. not disengaging fully. What have you changed - just the clutch friction plates?
