Absolutely not. 2k does that dumb stuff with the neighborhood. You spend 30 minutes going from one side to the other just for a 2 minute cutscene with your agent. If I wanted to walk around an open world I’d go play gta

Why do we need abilities. That's one thing that messes Madden up. Jesus EA make it simple.

It does seem more like 2k's badges...I'll remain skeptical of "abilities" because of Madden, but if they really aren't a "guaranteed outcome" I think I can get behind this if it's similar to All Pro Football 2k8's abilities they had for players.
It's quirks that make players stand out from in each in ways that mere stats can't. Doesn't go over the top like Madden's X-Factors either.

Bring back the running mechanics from NCAA14.
Running with the ball in madden now feels like your feet are stuck in molasses. Bring back the double juke and higher higher user-input instead of basic pre-programmed animations

The number of folks thinking they're gonna pull ALL OF THIS out of a gameplay engine that hasn't been anything to write home about since 2018, is staggering to me. Really. Abilities are literally College X-Factors and yeah, EA is fixing to get folks on board with playing Madden with College teams and loving it.

Diversity in dynamics in this game are insane, no two 4 quarters will feel the same. Madden hasn’t done this yet, I don’t think any sports game has to be honest. Pretty realistic in that aspect.
