At Tam Coc you are rowed 3 kilometres up a river (and back) which wanders through amazing limestone mountains. The river passes through 3 limestone caves in the mountains. If you do this tour take a good torch with you as you can see a lot more detail on the roof of the caves. You are sitting in the boat for quite a long time so make sure you have protection from the blistering sun.
Tam Coc, "Halong Bay on Land"
I do not know many places more magical than Tam Coc, 6 km from Ninh Binh (80 km south of Hanoi) and famous as "Halong Bay on Land" for its kartstic peaks surging from the rice fields.
The boat trip on the river through the caves is relaxing and beautiful - a real destination.

Far from Hanoi 80 Km. This made a really good for one day tour. It is nature place just 30 minutes from Ninh Binh Town and 2 hours from Hanoi. Take boat trip on the river you will feel amazing countryside around.The Tam Coc is really an amazing place with beautiful nature.
Hanoi train street is one place that will always have a special place in my heart.
Finally, I was there, at a meek strip with a railway track passing through its center. There are houses, barely 5 m away, running along the railway track. The street is usually flooded with tourists and photographers.

Beer 🍺 street one should visit after dinner. It’s for crowd n get the vibes of the city. A night market is just adjacent to it so enjoy shopping too.
