This show is truly legendary. You can watch it over and over again, and feel good at the end of the day. You can’t beat that 2000’s tv show vibe, and you certainly can’t beat Smallville’s, well everything and anything.

I was a bit skeptical about Smallville when it debuted and went about watching other shows. I think it was '05 when I decided to give it a chance. As soon as I started watching it, I realized I just how great it was. I've been a fan ever since. 😎👍
Such a brilliant teaser. They keep it subtle and never say outright this is about a young Superman. They rely on Superman's historic power and acclaim for you to figure it out yourself, which naturally credits Superman as an icon. The slight mystery in the trailer let's you have that moment of "wait is it...it is". Only fans of Clark Kent will recognize it as Superman and makes it more special if you figure it out, where others may have not
Yeah I really like this trailer because I bet people in 2001 had no idea what the hell this was , they knew this young teenager had superpowers clearly from the trailer but unless you recognize the name of the town Smallville, you know who Lex Luthor is since Clark said his name in this trailer and and know Clark Kent's powers from front to back then you would have no idea this is a young Superman show

I really enjoyed the way WB marketed Smallville when it first started. I miss the cornfields and the feeling of "Fall" in all the ads. The CW is awful.
Man..I HATE that they cut the scene at the end of this promo from the Pilot where Welling is shown speeding into a close up in the corn field. It's one of the most impactful scenes they ever filmed and it's on the cutting room floor. They did use a different take at the end of the S1 credits. But still..love that scene and wish it had been left in.

Still my favourite Superhero show of all time (Well, that and Lois and Clark). Though find it amusing now the first lines about believing a man can fly and we actually didn't see him FLY (Unless he was under Kryptonite) until the very very end :) No Flights, No Tights LOL :)

I'm sick of these people saying "the show isnt the same anymore, its bad now, waah-waah." Smallville has evolved into what it needed to, in order to be taken more seriously as the years went by. If teenaged Clark was still all chummy with Lex today in season 10, it would just be cheezy and crap. Green Arrow, Lois Lane, Brainiac and villainous Lex, have really changed the show for the better. Did we really think it would stay teen friendly as Clark grew up? Can't wait for Season 10 :)
watched Smallville from the beginning Season 1: was good... it was just the tip of the iceberg on how good the show would be Season 2 : got better as Clark dived into "where he came from" season 3: probably one of my favorite. Clark turns his back on his destiny and pays for it.... season 4: interesting season. Debut of Erica Durance as Lois. wasn't sure I'd like her but she grew on me... After around season 5 or 6 it began to slide. as much as ppl hated Lana (Kristen Kruek) losing her and later Michael Rosenbaum (Lex) killed the series. all the teasers about is Lex dead or really alive. ... kind of destroyed the opportunity to expand on how he turns evil and Clark becomes his polar opposite still... great show.
Season 5 was great till jonathan death, maybe it was something that had to happen, but after that the show started to fall, the lana and lex relationship was stupid, and allison mack to much spotlight was a bad move, i also missed pete.

They are Superman/Supergirl because of who they are as people, the values they try to emulate, the difficult decisions they have to make. They are the most powerful beings in the world and could easily destroy it if they wanted to. All it would take is some manipulation of red kryptonite or just deciding that they’re better than everyone else. But thankfully, they do not feel that way. They are grateful to their adoptive planet for raising them, teaching them how to be human. They repay mankind by saving them as much as they can. They try to resolve conflict without a physical fight because they know hand-to-hand combat will kill a human. They could burn the world with their eyes or freeze it with their breath, or crush every living thing with their bare hands while literally no weapon can hurt them in return.

Too bad that Enterprise didn't reach its 7th season like The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, and Voyager did or surpassed them with a 10th season. It was cancelled in 2005. :( It was great as the other Star Treks were. I might be still sad that Enterprise ended before its prime but I'm very happy that Smallville got a chance to. I'm a huge Star Trek and Superman fan. I love both of them.
when you loo at the earlier seasons, you know why it was used to be a hit... the BIG THREE, Michael, Tom and Kristin, along with John Schneider, John Glover and Anette O'Toole made the show sustain so far... now it is only a shadow of what have been a once great show...
Season 1 was fantastic, 2 was still good but getting repetitive, 3 was alright but was getting kind of weird...4 was getting bad and then it went all downhill from there. Season 8 started picking up, but that finale ruined pretty much all the good feelings people had about it. Season 9 was probably their best, perhaps only being bested by season 1. Now season 10 is starting off well, but it still needs some more time to judge it.
one of the greatest shows ever no lie a brilliant masterpiece of a story great characters that you actually like more well some lol as time goes on lex and clark for me is the strongest relationship in thee entire series its so complex but done so well clark to start off shy and a bit nerdy then to go to a confidant guy that dosent take bs anymore and thats there for his friends more then once and lex that starts off honest and easy going nice basically to everyone at first then to see his transformation to the evil villain he turned in to be was done in such a brilliant way not many shows are like this its a must watch 1 through 6 are the best for me

Obsession was a good ep. But Alicia was a serial killer who should've been a one and done. It makes no sense that they would bring her back and have Clark forgive and then fall in love with the girl who tried to kill him and Lana. You're acting like she was some victim. 🤣👎

one of the greatest shows ever no lie a brilliant masterpiece of a story great characters that you actually like more well some lol as time goes on lex and clark for me is the strongest relationship in thee entire series its so complex but done so well clark to start off shy and a bit nerdy then to go to a confidant guy that dosent take bs anymore and thats there for his friends more then once and lex that starts off honest and easy going nice basically to everyone at first then to see his transformation to the evil villain he turned in to be was done in such a brilliant way not many shows are like this its a must watch 1 through 6 are the best for me

Obsession was a good ep.
But Alicia was a serial killer who should've been a one and done. It makes no sense that they would bring her back and have Clark forgive and then fall in love with the girl who tried to kill him and Lana. You're acting like she was some victim. 🤣👎

NOTHING makes sense in this show anymore, but looking back at this promo, it had a LOT of potential that is sadly wasted in the season 9 and 10! sad how it started something GREAT and PREMIUM, and now it ended with MILLIONS finally having the end to wave BYE to it!
Too bad season 10 sucked... a real shame.
