I was privileged to first hear Dr. Yuille in October when he taught one of the courses in the Fundamentals Training Course track of CBCD. It was evident from his prayer and remarks here and there of his love for the Puritans. I love his advice for adopting a Puritan. Earlier in 2023, I had read a kindle versions of Preparation for Sufferings & Keeping the heart by John Flavel & treated myself to the set of Flavel's works published by Reformation Heritage Books.
This was really good and helpful. Thanks for doing this. Thanks for the helpful endorsing recommendation of John Flavel! ha, glad to hear there are other "purists" out there... ...and/but pastor John's short overview of the Puritans at the beginning of his latest Sunday sermon was a refreshing antidote to the sophomoric toxic pretention some pew-sitter like me might sometimes feel about reading "the Puritans"....knowing they were "just" a bunch of college kids (as it were)... led by their professors..... (yes, but godly colleges kids and professors). Thanks!
Thanks for letting us know it was helpful. We appreciate you watching and letting us know what you thought. We hope more people will check out the Puritan, both in their original works, and in the updated versions. And it is funny because John didn't think about the podcast dovetailing with this sermon, but it did fit nicely together.

It was a very interesting interview. I'm a big fan of the Puritans, and of Dr. Yuille.
We hope more people will learn about Dr. Yuille through this podcast and also through the study we will be making with him in the near future.
Absolutely blissful! 😊
