that was a lot in that video..and thoroughly enjoyed it!!..great video and showing Yankee Stadium for us that don't see that view.. keep it up brother!! AND., The Green Goblinette maybe a 2002, but daammnnitt..she looks good!!!
I was born and raised in NYC my whole life and still live in NYC till this day. They load/unload trucks like this in the streets all the time. NYC really puts your trucking skills to the test. If you can drive a truck in NYC with no problem then every other state will be a piece of cake
Great video. Rates are good right now because they need to move the load. But it looks like fuel prices are going to stay up there. Great video! Thank you for sharing 👏👏👏👏
What's the name of that song at 17:47 when you're travelling at night to New York? Fits the nice journey so well! Even your truck's engine was in the beat of the song.
That's my old neighborhood I used to work in the Huntspoint market I learned to drive a truck there in 1987 n I'm still driving but I don't go to NYC because it doesn't pay me what it should. But make your money these are different times and new generations.
@Ridez, Have you seen that truck out of Georgia that looks just yours? I was at Americold in ATL a few weeks ago and thought it was you, until a brother jumped out it, lol.....Be safe out there man! 😎
Pollen sucks! We haven't seen it up here YET (Southern Massachusetts), but when the tree pollen goes wild up here, riding my motorcycle becomes an adventure! Trying not to sneeze with the helmet on! Great video brother glad to see you doing well! God Bless!
So the green goblin is a 2002, damn it looks great no doubt! But I have a question, did you have those mirror frames put on it, didn’t think that style wasn’t put on them until 2005. Just curious 🧐 be safe bruh and another great video.
Hey man I know this was a damn year ago lol 😂 but my aunt is a dispatcher she says money for loads will not go up because it has nothing to do with gas she also said it’s the truckers taking load for 2000$ to cross country sometimes dispatchers take more then they need but it’s all about how you talk to them oh yeah that yellow stuff on your truck is pollen that’s the English word idk if it’s a Spanish version it sounds the same just with a Spanish accent but keep trucking man you inspiring me to want to go reefer 🤙🏽💯
Wow brother that shipper put you and the “Green Goblin “ in a tuff spot for backing but like always you pull it off!!! Parking is becoming tough everywhere you go now!!! With the cost of fuel, IFTA taxes and you having a long nose Peterbilt your probably right at breaking even!!! Bro you drive through the NYC like you lived there before!!! Lol Crazy unloading like that off street in residential area!!! Dope video and good content!!! Be safe and we will definitely see you on the next one 😎✌️
I do think that cutting the overhead expense would help you offset the fuel cost buy upgrading to newer equipment and getting better fuel economy. I use to have 5 379 Peterbilt 02 04 and three 07 and now I have 579 models.
I agree with you on the freight rates are still only covering the higher price of fuel. That yellow stuff in English in pollen, I'm sure someone else said something in the comments 🤧. Gotta love the Cross Bronx Express Way & the Vince Lombardi 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️. That's my home so it's what I cut my teeth on when I 1st started trucking in 91. Funny thing is it still looks the same, lol😂😂. I mean a few upgrades but 90% still the same
Bro I don’t miss NY at all I drove in the city for 18 years in a dumb truck doing construction sites taking dirt to Pa back in the day to see you driving that big rigs and many others truckers too I tips my hat to all you guys stay safe and God bless you all and keep on trucking peace my brother
That dude had to get off the forklift 4 times just to get one pallet off the truck... they need a better unload system..lol... You are right about fuel costs. What I found is that fuel costs usually increase more than rates when you break it down to percentages. Most likely the increase in rate is from the fuel surcharge . As an overall percentage of your cost of doing business fuel costs has increased at a greater percentage than the linehaul rate. Stay safe
In this locations without ramps we use in europe pallet trucks 4 easy and quick downloading. It helps the forklift driver and we're quick back in the road
I'm running a load based on the fuel prices from yesterday, price was 2.61 gal (with my fuel card discount) this morning it was 2.75 gal , up 14c over night
HEY BRO .... HOWS YOUR FATHER AN GRANDFATHER THIS REMINDES ME OF BACK IN THE DAY I USE TO DELIVER CHICKENS IN THE BRONX..... USING CHAINS AN STRAPS.... CRAZY.... SIMILIAR... CURBSIDE.... LOL...
I use to buy fuel for $1.00 a gallon in the late 80s rates are alot better but they are behind from where it should be. fuel is where is supposed to be with the new type of fuel saving the trucks are today. But Insurance is to high.
Wouldn’t it be easier to get a pallet jack an bring them to the edge of the trailer an then use the forklift to offload everything vs using a chain an getting out hookup yo the forks then back in then do it all over again....lol
I would be very concerned about dragging pallets on the floor and against the sidewalk. Nails on pallets & dragging on wall will create holes ... And holes cost $$ to patch
Just say Paul len. The yellow stuff. But is spelled is Pollen . And your right about the fuel debate It benefit the other driver because of the type of truck he drives
Yellow stuff is Pine Tree pollen. It is actually the trees dna marker. This is a common Florida allergen. Thanks for the video, always like the content and when you I’d your location. Txs, Frank
Yea you are right the reason loads pay more is because of fuel inflation is the term I believe they use but basically it’s just a law so the brokers don’t abuse of the trucker when fuel rate goes up
Sounds like the rates went up to compensate for the higher fuel prices like you said it just about averages out welcome to New York City I would not want to live across from that place either even if it was soundproof
the only way to determine this actually is to do the numbers. It really depends on the cost of the load versus the cost of the fuel. If I take a load for $2500 that travels say 1000 miles I'm getting $2.50 per mile. If my truck does 6 MPG thats approx 167 gallons of fuel used. Your current fuel cost is 2.85 so thats approx $475 for the trip. BUT let's say you take that same trip and the load now pays $3K and the fuel cost rises to $3 per gallon. Now I'm making $3 per mile and the cost of the fuel is approx $500. So for $25 more in fuel I earn $500 in cash. Sound like a break even to you now? lol the only way to break even is to spend the SAME amount in the cost of fuel that the difference in the loads pay...thats why it depends on the scenario of what the loads pay.
Awsomw truck and great video
Nice video greetings from the Netherlands 👍
You are right. Even though the loads are paying better, the cost of fuel offsets the rate increase.
thank you for your work. stay good and safe brother
Hope you and your family have a Happy Easter when you get home! Enjoy your blog. One of your fans in West Texas
Thanks my bro God bless you and your family
that was a lot in that video..and thoroughly enjoyed it!!..great video and showing Yankee Stadium for us that don't see that view.. keep it up brother!! AND., The Green Goblinette maybe a 2002, but daammnnitt..she looks good!!!

Great video. Rates are good right now because they need to move the load. But it looks like fuel prices are going to stay up there.

What engine does the truck have
What are the songs you use in your videos?
Fuel prices go up, load prices have to compensate!... Typical inflation!.... So yeah... You're correct...

It's Pollen season from the trees allergies start real bad also 17th year for the cicadas bug too.

When are you going back to Johanna foods..I’m an owner operator for them and I would like to meet you.
I use to buy fuel for $1.00 a gallon in the late 80s rates are alot better but they are behind from where it should be. fuel is where is supposed to be with the new type of fuel saving the trucks are today. But Insurance is to high.
BSAFE BABE ..... LOVE WHAT YOU DO ....
Wouldn’t it be easier to get a pallet jack an bring them to the edge of the trailer an then use the forklift to offload everything vs using a chain an getting out hookup yo the forks then back in then do it all over again....lol
Bronx, Hunts Point I know that area.
Avoid NY as much as you can, the traffic is the worst and so are the roads. I am glad I moved out of that nightmare place.
I would be very concerned about dragging pallets on the floor and against the sidewalk. Nails on pallets & dragging on wall will create holes ... And holes cost $$ to patch
Yea that pollen is real bad this time of year. I’ll see you out there, be safe!
Thanks bro likewise
Just say Paul len. The yellow stuff. But is spelled is Pollen . And your right about the fuel debate It benefit the other driver because of the type of truck he drives
When you're passing someone you suppose to pass on the left side not the right. Mannnn truck drivers today be killing me with that. Good video
Oh I 4got, that's the new Yankee stadium if you didn't kno. The old 1 isn't 2 far from there actually. I've never been 2 the new 1, only the old 1.
We like what you said looking good at all times. The cost of fuel offsets the increase. But if you can get fuel surcharges might help.
Wow..No traffic on the degan 👊🏽
The guy unloading you was really hustling! NOT! wow bet that took awhile...
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I had to stop recording and help out if not I would be there all day
I used to run the hell outta NYC when I was your age too.... won't b long and you'll b like me saying you can keep that shit!!
🤣🤣🤣 stay safe driver
The new look is nice
2👍up bro
Better to take a little nap, than a final nap😳🤔
Yes sir
If you are working with the broker name your PRICE, especially with the roads running north ( wear @ tear on your truck )
Yellow stuff is Pine Tree pollen. It is actually the trees dna marker.
This is a common Florida allergen.
Thanks for the video, always like the content and when you I’d your location.
Txs, Frank
Yea you are right the reason loads pay more is because of fuel inflation is the term I believe they use but basically it’s just a law so the brokers don’t abuse of the trucker when fuel rate goes up
Got to have the Lucus ooo Yea!!😎
Those Pete 579’s are gonna tart looking a lot better
Correction $1.64 per mile I mean
Looks like Reyes produce
I agree with you that the fuel is not cheaper.
Sounds like the rates went up to compensate for the higher fuel prices like you said it just about averages out welcome to New York City I would not want to live across from that place either even if it was soundproof
Pour the Lucas in BEFORE you fuel up so it mixes better
Those places are why I won’t do reefers give me a step deck anyday, and that dust is called pollen, where are you going ? Hunts point?
i car haul with a 9 car hauler all over NYC. love it hate it lol
Yes sir tell me about it
you are correct sir ,its all a numbers game ,look at your bottom line.
the only way to determine this actually is to do the numbers. It really depends on the cost of the load versus the cost of the fuel. If I take a load for $2500 that travels say 1000 miles I'm getting $2.50 per mile. If my truck does 6 MPG thats approx 167 gallons of fuel used.
