Silovs is trying, bless his heart. If you’re young and hear your name chanted like a hero, you think a seismic change occurred. Just locking up backup on a basic one way deal is big enough.

Having a division winner from the previous year as 9th or 10 is a crazy take.
With so many teams cap strapped, nobody wants to be the clown to start an offer sheet war, because of stones and glass houses. People remember what happened when Montreal GM Bergevin got mocked and abused for his offer sheet against Carolina and the resulting retaliation.
Silov has more playoff experience than Demko including a shutout. Letting a guy with playoff ready poise go would most likely come back to bite.

Why would poolman contract be a problem if hes going on ltir anyway? Unless hes ready to play
it means he wants more then what we have left in cap. and we can only use the ltir during season

@@tokki2490no it means they are trying to avoid going into LTIR so that they can accrue cap space over the season and take advantage at the deadline. Something they haven’t been able to do because of the pool man contract (and the other various cap mismanagement)
Silovs overperformed a tad in the playoffs. Prior to that I was thinking he needed another year in the AHL before he was ready. He shouldn't be thinking he gets the bag at this point in his career. Take an entry level deal and prove your worth over a full season.

I don't get the Silovs fan club. Am I the only one that saw the flaws ? Did people not see how bad he was on shots from the point ?
Yes he had holes from fairly easy point shots.
Agree on 3rd or less to move pullman contract. Only if organizational commitment to not moving 1st or 2nd this draft.

Should sell high on silovs and trade him for a high draft pick
If demko is our guy and will continue to be for years to come then sell now when people need goalies and just come off a run that shows he can hang
They need to trade him for a puck moving Dman that can play in the bottom 4, not a draft pick
@@asaraphym802 Demko is injured often. He could be again. Silovs can play in big games, you don't lose that for 1.5m
