In this video, we fully disassemble and reassemble the front wheel of a Bugaboo Cameleon 3, while explaining the various components, common problems with them, and how to replace them. This disassembly includes the axel, ball bearings, suspension system and locking clip. The fork-axel is no longer removable as it was with Cameleon 1 and 2, as far as I can see. If I'm wrong in this, please let me know :)

Can you change the tyre of the front wheel. What type of tyre is it? Invested because the rubber shows cracks.

Cameleon 2 has 608 bearing says 608ZZ one side and 608RS the other. I notice the bearing has a built in spacer, the inner ring sticks out more on one side. I see replacement sets on eBay that have this spacer feature.

Is it possible to replace the rubber tyre? Or do you think the wheel off the swivel board would fit? Our rubber is starting to crack but don't need a whole new assembly

It's a long time since I tried, but I seem to remember that the swivel board wheel is the same size, just give it a quick measuring. I love hearing viewers willing to DIY stuff, like this. Most of the questions I get are just about purchase-recommendations. Best of luck :)

Thanks for the reply. I'll give it a crack, it's a bit ridiculous they expect you to through out a perfectly good surrounding assembly when all that is needed is a new rubber tyre, so wasteful! Keep up the good work!!

i have a similar problem i need to replace the wheel of a camaleon 1 but i cannot find a decent second hand wheel. ifound something on aliexpress that should be compatible with camaleon 3 wheels. The problem i think is that it has a 6900ZZ bearing which has a bore size of 10mm while the 608zz of the camaleon 1 has 8 mm. any suggestions welcome 🙂 @@BarnevognverkstedNo

How do you take these wheels off the stroller ? We’re having trouble with ours

Hi,
these are from a Cameleon 3, if that is what you have, then depress the white buttons on the front of your stroller. If you have Cameleon 1 or 2, squeeze in the tabs on the portion of the black plastic axle head that extends out of the top of the housing mechanism. If the wheels are stuck, in either case, lubricate them, depress the locking mechanism(s) and pry them off the stroller. Hope this helps :)

Hi how can I stop my front wheel from shaking? Would a washer help? (If so could you tell me what size if possible) All has been cleaned and still having the problem on one wheel, thanks

search for 'wave washers Bugaboo Bee.' Those should work good well for this application. :)
