i never heard of the story of the USS Indianapolis as a kid and even in my early teens i never heard of the story until i saw the film Jaws and it was the scene Quint tells the story of how he survived the sinking of the ship and it was the way he delivered the speech it really captured my attention and i started doing my research on the ship. Its really sad what happened to them God bless the survivors Thank you to the brave men for all they do
Just rite rite now is the same way a heard about the story and did the same exact thing u did. Started researching and now I know the story...real catching story..
I’d be soo pissed if I survived that and then had to go to war. Like imagine if the invasion happened anyways. Sorry about those sharks marine but we’re going to have to send you to Japan now.
Sounded like the officer was the one who busted him and got him put on limited rations on the trip home after they were rescued. He didn't say what he got the disciplinary action for.
When he got rescued from the disaster they wanted him on clean up duty but he was still hurting from the 4 days in the water so he told the officer to ask someone else so the officer gave him the bread and water thing
