    Using frozen berries is the best way. The cell walls will give you more juice vs fresh

    You got it going on.. I live in South Central KY and blackberries grow great here, well I'm not sure how they grow after we have been chemtrailed for so long, but back to what I was saying.. when I was a kid we had a lot of blackberry patches in the back yard and we picked them every year.. we smashed them up with milk and sugar.. it was great.. love your channel

    I read not to put the sugar in until the 8 week mark then you take two cups of sugar 3/4 cup water bring it to a gental boil, then let it cool 20 minutes, strain your berry a few times then add to your berries, vodak mixtuure then let sit another 16 weeks, also put 2 cloves, and 2 peels of oranges in the first stage. The artical I read said the sugar can mold in the berry/ vodak mixture.

      This is definitely a sweet one... I've always wanted to try dandelion wine... I'll have to try that this summer. ;) My dad makes beer and my grandma used to make huge batches of white lightening in the bath tub... LOL

      I am, I'll do a video at the end, straining and tasting it... You really don't do anything for the 6 weeks... just a good stir the first few days. ;)

    About that white lid, Is it the STORAGE LID or the one with the gasket inside?? Im thinking if I use the one with the gasket the gases wont be able to escape and a Big explosion may occur..so should it be just the STORAGE lid.??? Thanks for the vid. I have alot of blackberries

    • @iknowyoureright8564
      @iknowyoureright8564 Місяць тому +1

      No gases are formed, there is no fermentation, there is simply a mixing of flavours.

  • @andrepatterson7058
    @andrepatterson7058 3 роки тому

    Great video. Do you have to keep the lid loosen? To let the gases escape. From blowing up the jar?

    • @HomesteadCorner
      @HomesteadCorner  3 роки тому +2

      I use a plastic lid for this, so gases can escape. I’ve never had an issue with those. 😁

      I use regular mason jars and lids, tightened. No problem and I never knew about using plastic lids.

    No. Your making a blackberry cordial. Your not making liquor unless you have a still
