Looks like some very controlled sliding going on there. Love the Celica body but I must confess I prefer the old school Celica Gr. B that shared the chassis with the famous 959 kit. People forget that Tamiya released their first rally cars in the early 1980's. The Audi Quattro Rally used a chassis based on the Wild Willy! I bet the XV-01 is a big step forward when looking back on these but it would be interesting to compare it performance wise with the 959 chassis.
@@rc-dom-uk I'll do that. I know I often use the word iconic but Tamiya just has so many products that capture the imagination and this covers virtually every type of vehicle from rally and monster truck to off-road buggy and on-road racer.
