You only used it twice, it recommended to use for six washes. I have a lots of breakages after over processing my hair and now my hair is manageable and healthy again.

so glad to hear it’s worked for you!! I’ve actually ended up using the whole bottle and have a whole 7 video journey on it. I’m glad it’s worked amazingly for you! thanks for your comment!

It’s not supposed to be a deep conditioner. Plus, you can use a conditioner, a leave in conditioner, and any styling products AFTER the k18 has been sitting for 4min.

Definitely reasonable, I like to test it in all various ways. You can see by the end of week 6 and my redemption video that the product itself though, has way to much alcohol in it for my hairs liking. It’s definitely trial and error to see what makes it work best. Thanks for your comment!

Use your normal leave ins after the 4 minutes, I use my redownload leave in conditioner/detangler and loved

hi, thanks so much for your input!! I believe I did give that a try in future videos but ultimately came to the conclusion that k18 has too much alcohol for my hair and i need to let it sit and then rinse out throughly and then apply leave ins and I had much better results. Thanks for your comment♥️♥️

I would actually recommend the shea moisture miracle styler leave in treatment over the hydrate+repair. It's considered a dupe for its a 10 and by far one of my fave leave ins (and I own alot). I am also curious why are you only washing your hair once a week if you usually wash it more often?

that’s so good to know!! I am sooo excited to try it! and honestly, i’ve wanted to start stretching out my wash times because I feel my hair needs more time to absorb the natural oils since my hair is so damaged at the top. I’ve wanted to do it for a while now after a recommendation someone gave me but i never had the patience for it. I typically only wash twice a week normally for reference! thanks so much for the comment btw!

@@KindlyChristina I'm invested in your k18 progress after watching your first video. A tip you can choose to follow if you want to "scalp train" is to do is gradually. It seems to work best if u wash your hair say every 3-4 day, try washing it every 4-5 days and gradually increase the days in between. I personally found I had alot of scalp issues if I did not do this. However if you feel it is working for you then by all means keep doing! I would also recommend you a prepoo if you're more concerned of the oils nourishing your hair. Using a scalp treatment (innate life has the best 😍) works really well for nourishing the scalp as well as promote hair growth (some ingredients are scientifically proven like rosemary). I also like adding some argan oil to my ends so the ends also get oil nourishment. Hope this comment helps!

@@ceystal first off, thanks for all the input and support and following my journey!! I love the idea of being more gradual, I think I’m going to try that this week while giving my hair more of a break in between using k18. My hair is generally very protein sensitive and I’m not sure on how much protein (if any) k18 has, but washes in between might help from overloading my hair. I love all your input, I’m such a huge hair person so I’m actually going to write them down and maybe do more hair related content and try some of what you’ve recommended! I’ve heard about rosemary and have yet to try it out. This journey has been so discouraging but comments like yours give me hope! thanks so much!

My hair is also protein sensitive (my hair is long, course, medium density, low porosity, and colored) but K18 only has protein ingredients from the 10th ingredients on the ingredient list so I would not worry too much about protein overload with that product as it does have humectants and moisturizing agents like propylene glycol and behentrimonium chloride in the top ingredients. (It does have denatured alcohol which I was super skeptic about but it is to help deliver the peptides deep into the hair's cortex by opening up the cuticle.) I would highly recommend using a leave in conditioner with this product after the 4 min mark. If you regularly use conditioning products and just stop your hair will definitely feel the effects and K18 do not market themselves as a conditioner. It is to help repair the hair, not condition. But if you seem to prefer it then go for it!
K18 does recommend using it for the first 6 washes and not necessarily once a week. I would recommend using a gentle shampoo, k18, leave in conditioner, then oil (olaplex no 6 and 7 are good).
If you are ever curious about ingredients check out isitcg.com. They break down many different ingredients in products. I would just ignore the silicone claims as long as you clarify once a month or so you'll be fine.
I have so much advise I want to give you but I know your hair journey is yours to go through. I'm still on my hair journey after 3 years of a really bad bleach job but the process can be enjoyable if you let it.
I'm also a HUGE hair person like I can talk about it for hours and love to do research on it. Hoping you keep making content :)

@@ceystal love love love everything you said. I have been so busy I haven’t even had a moment to look into the protein aspect but it is really great to know it’s 10th on the list. I know I did read somewhere about the alcohol helping it absorb into the hair better so thank you for the reminder! I find some many people share the science behind k18 so I really just want to share trying to see how it works for me. You’ll see for sure in week 4 that my hair is loving conditioning again. I hadn’t considered much about it’s similarity to Olaplex no 3 where it also isn’t a conditioner but doesn’t mean your hair won’t need deep conditioning afterwards. I hadn’t thought that k18 was a conditioner but i do want to say that other peoples “instant softness” applying k18 like in reviews i watched before I watched this, I think gave me the subconscious thought that this for some reason would be. All the input has been great and you’re right, i totally need conditioner. Someone else mentioned 6 washes not necessarily 6 weeks. Coming up on week 5, i think my hair will be ready for use of k18 with every wash (or maybe i’ll just use it this week on my second wash here on week 4!), i just get cautious and concerned with my fine hair and was wanting to push my washes to weekly but now that i’m doing a few times a week, i’m ready to use k18 with each wash. I feel your struggle with the really bad bleach job, I too had one a few years ago which jumpstarted my journey but clearly i’ve had some struggles along the way 😅 as a fellow hair junkie/enthusiast, thanks so much for the input and for following the journey with me!!

As others have noted. Unless you compare it to your conditioned hair, it's not a fair comparison. You are supposed to be able to use your products after it settles . Unless you normally have non conditioned hair all the time.
I notice you are using drug store brands , Pantene and Garnier for example. Shea Moisture is a great new start.
I also don't see why one can't use it more often than once a week, it's supposed to work in 4 mins.

hi! thanks for the input! totally agree, you’ll see in this next video (currently processing right now and will be uploaded tonight) that I want to know the ins and outs of this product, and want to make as fair a comparison as possible without doing too many different and overloading my hair. So I am washing it as I normally do in this upcoming week 3 video and Im not conditioning it as I usually do as K18 doesn’t recommend it but I am using a leave in afterwards. My hair journey has been WAY longer than this series and I’ve used veryyy expensive products previously like oribe, all the way to drug store like garnier fructis. I’ve notice what works best for me and if it’s the garnier fructis with occasional clarifying, then so be it.
I appreciate any input and as I’m starting week 4, I’m actually reverse washing and so far, it has me intrigued! Your input is great though, I’m thinking week 5 can be the week I use it twice/three times in a week depending on my washes (I just don’t want to overload my hair too much as it’s very fine). Truly, all input to help my experience and your experience as a viewer, is a big part of why I’m doing this. Thanks for following the journey! Open to any input !
