Deobandis are a spectrum. Some Deobandis lean towards tasawwuf. While others lean towards khawaarij, and will keep chanting Shirk and Bidah, like wahabis. This is because their founding scholar Rashid Ahmad Gangohi had praised Ismail Dehlwi (a wahabi) and Mohammed ibn Abdul Wahab. That's why some of them are confused and some of them are shape shifters. So, nothing wrong in calling them wahabis when one of their founding scholars opened the doors to the wahabi infection
