    I will not give recommendations on certain brands to buy. Why? Here is the reason: there are many different good and bad brands out there. A good brand today can turn into a bad brand tomorrow by using cheap wood, altering their sizes, etc. etc. I am teaching you how to find a good pair of rings and not how to buy 'X' brand. I want to provide you with the information to make your own decision and not give a decision to you. This is the difference between 'teaching' you something and 'telling' you something. I am a teacher not a teller.

      Honestly what u said is very true: theres a lot of brands that were actually incredible at one point, some even the best in their market, and in a matter of a few product cycles they're now at the bottom of the barrel in terms of quality (and im talking in general, not just gym rings)

    I bought some wood rings with the numbered straps and I have really been enjoying training with them so far. I recorded my first workout and it got me motivated like I was a beginner again with new exercises to learn. Subbed

    Hi there mate. After the 4th time I used my rings I noticed a splinter in one of them.. Those are really good rings, which bummed me out a bit. From your experience, is that a common thing? Should I expect splinters forming? What should I do? Sand them down? I was thinking about applying some varnish to the rings... if that doesn´t work in the long term, I might just wrap the rings with duct tape.

    There's really no advantage to wider straps unless you're King Kong.The thinner straps take less space and it's not difficult to make a reel for them using a skateboard wheel.

    Question- How long have you been training on a Bent Arm/ Straight Arm split? Curious as to your thoughts on other splits- eg. pros/ cons of, say, and upper lower split, Compared to BA/SA. And who would a BA/SA split be appropriate for?
    Cheers! Tom

    • @TheTaoWay
      @TheTaoWay  4 роки тому +1

      I no longer use this split, but not because I do not think it is useful. The bent arm/straight arm split can be used for a very long time and it will get you great results with strength. I used it for about 2 years before changing to what I am doing now.

    Are the 1.25" rings better for dips, push ups, et cetera? Or do your hands get used to the smaller pressure point? I'm trying to decide on thickness right now and I'm a tall guy (6' 3") but I have weak grip from old injuries. I feel like a thinner ring might be more comfortable for pulling movements under the rings, but a thicker one might be more comfortable for pushing movements on top of the rings. Another question: some people on forums say the thicker rings are better for elbow pain. What are your thoughts?
