Exploring Machedi, Billawar | Trek to Sheetala Mata Mandir

Machedi is a small hamlet located in a Billawar town of Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir. This place is like a beautiful valley surrounded by snow clad mountains. This place is situated at a distance of 35 Km from Billawar town of District Kathua. The proudly standing pines and deodars accompanied by walnut and pear trees and rich flora further increase the beauty of this place. The climate of the place remains cool with the pleasurable breeze of air usually flows across the mountain ranges. The natural tourism potential of Kathua district has not been explored yet.
