Just got a new house and it came with this fridge. Previous owner broke both the top and bottom hooks off. Going to order 2 replacements. Ill probably throw a small screw in there to hold them in place too
I tried using glue to hold mine back in place. It didn't stay. I did order some new hinge pins due to the top one is loose. I also noticed when I removed the flapper, the wiring was not connected inside of the flapper. It doesn't look like it was connected to anything because the wires don't look like they were ripped out or even connected to anything. I haven't found anything online showing how it needs to be wired, or if it needs to be connected. Anyone else run into that issue, or know where I can look to see what I need to do if they are supposed to be connected?
Mine had a tab that held the wiring that got knocked out but I was able to tuck wiring back inside. I didn’t see any indication that anything was disconnected though! I ended up putting a screw in mine too to make sure it held as the glue eventually gave way when one of my kids slammed the door 🤦🏻♂️
My flapper is ok but we had to take the doors off to get it into the house and put the doors back on. Now it seems the left door doesnt raise up high enough to engage the flapper
Thanks for the amazon link. I have a 5 yr old fridge and the pin broke.. Was trying to find replacement parts.
The wiring behind the flap part is disconnected and broke...but fixed door like you said. Do I need to be concerned about the wiring?

My glue didn’t hold so I ended up doing that exact thing and put a screw in it! No issues since!

hmmm, what do you mean engage the flapper? It doesn’t close enough to seal against it?
The flapper doesn't go back on it's own. The hooks seem ok. But we have to manually open (close, so that it seals correctly)
I’ve had mine about 4 months - sealed great at first now - like yours the flapper is not engaging.
We removed the flapper. Didn't have to order any new parts. Just raised the flapper. And it works great now .🤞@@BethBlankenship-rn8mc
