Tip: if you are struggling to remove old plastic bits, I found an old syringe needle could be forced gently into the remnant and carefully extracted! In my case the bottom horizontal bar of the ‘square’ was in situ still, but the syringe point lifted it upwards but be careful!
You show how to take the spring out... but then when we next look there is a spring back in there... if you already have the spring do you need to replace it?
Hi Jayne, did you manage to get the button in? It can be a little bit fiddly but if the button isn't going in at all it is likely there is parts of the old button still stuck in the mechanism. We found using the pick/small screwdriver really helped getting it in. - Georgina, X8R Ltd
Perfect solution, watched this video, ordered on-line, arrived next day, and fitted in 1 min! great product guys 😁

Hi there, sometimes the springs can wear out and not work as well, however you might not have to replace your spring depending on its condition.
Very helpful, thenk you
I just bought a new one the same as this, the problem i have is some of the old plastic 1 is stuck in the groove.
Hi there, we recommend using a metal pick or trim removal tool to pry it out. - Georgina, X8R Ltd
@@X8RLtdUK I found a syringe needle would penetrate the plastic to enable lifting out!
Howwww!? How did yours go in so easily.. mine seema to not want to fit in 🙈
