in similar work the metals if they were low, such as 6K or 4K the filling build process would have the same homogenization ?
also with what other gems can similar work be done and with which not ?

Lower carat gold doesn't weld as nicely as 18ct but it works and the process is tha same. The only stones you can weld without worrying are diamonds. All other stones need a lot of caution. I regularly weld next to sapphire, ruby, emerald, topaz etc but I am VERY careful.

What machine and what are your settings for this? I’m shopping now and have used a laser which I like but this type might be safer and at a lower price. Just wondering as I do my research. Thanks

Are you adding gold or solder?

Very thin gold wire. It is usually known as laser wire and comes in all the different metals.

When you welding, the diamond is not broken by the spark ?, I have a similar machine, but the product from china, welding is not very accurate, once I tried to weld near the stone gems, it sparks make broken stone gems

Welding next to diamonds will not harm them unless they are of a very low quality. With coloured stones you have to be alot more careful, you have to weld so that the blast of the weld is far enough away from the stone so it does not harm it. I would not recommend welding next to opals, pearls, coral etc. but I do very carefully weld next to sapphires, rubies, emeralds, topaz, tanzanites, garnets, tourmalines, spinels, CZs, aquamarines etc. You have to plan the weld in a way that you will not be so near to a stone as to harm it .I explain this a bit more in the description to my video of retipping an opal.

I use a laser welder but I have to say, this looks a lot more accurate and predictable

David Lane I've never used a laser welder so unfortunately can't compare them. You're right, it is predictable in that the power settings stay accurate. The quality of the weld is greatly affected by the quality of the metal but I suppose the same applies to lasers.
