@@tandoorchats Kedarnath has well defined trail, so few basics will help you to do it easily. Good trekking shoes, trek pole and Poncho/Rain jacket.Always drink water on regular interval to maintain Oxygen level on higher altitude.

HI Utkarsh, nice trek video. Do you have to carry your own luggage or do they have porters to carry extra luggage?
Thanks, well I carried my own luggage but you need to check with the trek organizer/agency at the time of booking, for every trek they have porters and will charge extra to carry your luggage. Usually porters are available but prior checking is important in peak season. Also i would suggest you to carry minimum/basic things only for any trek.

I’m female and traveling Solo in first week of May 22’. Is it’s safe to travel from Gaumukh to Kedarkantha via Tapovan or do I need any Guide? I would appreciate your time and help!
There are many famous companies organizing this trek, you can google them. For Gaumukh or any other long Himalayan trek it is recommended to take guide. Also Kedarkantha is different peak and trek starts from Sankri Village. Gaumukh Tapovan is all together in different direction.
Bro aap kya koi package pe gya the? Chirbasa, Bhojbasa ka rahne ka booking kaha se kya tha? Aur jo inner line permit ki baat kya aapne wo bhi kya Uttar Kashi se aapne during the trip kya tha ya phir online kuch jugad hai. Please reply. We are going on Sept 6th.

Yes they do charge for camera Rs 500 per Camera

Thanks, yes its possible to stay at night and do camping. Also I cannot disclose company here because it will be promotion, you can google it and will get multiple company's details

Very useful video..Is there mandatory guide? How many cost about the trek?
I went through treking company, so it costed around 15k - 16k Dehradun to Dehradun.
I would suggest to take guide for sure as this trek is tricky in many sections. Rules have been change a lot, you can check on govt website of Uttarkashi or with some local people in Uttarkashi/Gangotru
Hw did u maintain battery life of your camera , Mobile , etc . Do they provide something for it?

You need permit from Uttarkashi Forest Dept. It was avaiable online on website of Uttarkashi however everything is changed due to covid. Please call them and check with them what is the process now

Yes, 2 stretches are tricky, rockfall zone between Chirbasa to Bhojbasa and moraine & boulder section between Gaumukh to Tapovan.

Check post is in Gangotri, permit process has been change since I visited this trek, so please check with local authority or checkpost ahead of Gangotri

Earlier it was. I don't have idea about new guidelines. I would suggest to take guide on high altitude treks anyway as some sections are tricky.

Thanks! I went with an agency that provided guides and trek operators. They operate it however there were solo travelers as well, we helped them to operate trolley. I would suggest to take guide for high altitude treks.
@@trekwithutkarsh we are planning 2 night stay in bhojwasa, and one day we will go to gaumukh & tapovan, and back night stay at bhojwasa. Also please let us know the sty options on gangotri.

T-shirt is sufficient while treking, rest for night n morning if you are out of your sleeping bag and not habitual of Himalayan cold n height, you need heavy woolen.
I am habitual of cold n himalayas so light warm cloths works for me.

Trekking shoes, rucksack bag, trekking cloths which include, trekking pants, tshirt, jackets, fleece, caps, warmers and other stuff whatever is required in trek.

I did it in october 2020. As far as i know Trek opens with the opening date of Gangotri temple. Please check the current details with Uttarkashi forest department, they can provide more accurate info.
