True that but now it's Kershaw now on his way on a World Series Run for a ring. But look Kershaw lasted longer than Tim. He has the numbers I wish Tim could do the same thing and come back way better than Kershaw to out shine them all in the league.
A few great seasons is pretty good for a starting pitcher now. Struggle for a few years, have 4-5 stellar years, then decline is a common pattern. Jake Arrieta for example... Jon Lester...
Timmy only had a few seasons this is true, but in those few, He accomplished what only one other pitcher in history ever did. 3 Or more W.Series, 2 or more Cy Young's, 2 or more No hitters.. The other pitcher Koufax....wont make hof but would have 2&3 more good years..
Cool video. I actually had the opportunity to meet both of them at different times when they did a AAA stint with the Round Rock Express here in central Texas as they looked to a possible return to the majors. 👍👍
Jeiner Perez correct. Steroids can give you the longevity to stay playing and more oomph but it doesn’t help you hit at all. He was a once a generation type of hitter. Have to give credit where it’s due.
GJ Williams reminds me of Harvey on the Mets, both pitchers had insane starts to their careers and looked like potential HOF then became irrelevant very quick
Jack Sofalot he had a stretch when he was sooooo dominant. But those mechanics tore up his small frame. Pedro Martinez was pretty slight but he did not have that violent delivery
Timmy had it at the beginning of 2015, but he got injured and was never the same. The only season where i felt he lost it 100% was 2012, but made up for it with a great postseason. 2013 he was inconsistent, but in september, he was pitching much better. 2014 he was pretty good until around august when he just fell off a cliff. 2015 he was good to start, but slowly faded and then got injured. Timmy's downfall wasnt velocity like people make it seem because in 2011, he lost velocity, but dominated. It was mainly the mechanics and not only did they make it hard to go a full season throwing like that, but he used a slightly different delivery that made his split-changeup not as great as it once was and it always floated around the strike zone.
HeyItsMikoo he lost his control. if you look at his K numbers through the years they were always high even in his “worst” years. but his BB numbers started killing him esp as he lost velocity and couldn’t afford to fall behind in counts all the time. and yes he was still a key piece in every postseason the Giants played in. had a 2.40 ERA in the postseason. that’s pretty damn good.
I have a 99 Jersey of Dodgers and I love It! When Ramírez was ejected from MLB, A-Rod was using steroids too but he wasn't ejected like Manny. Why?... 🤔
𝕻𝖆𝖚𝖑 𝖁𝖊𝖑𝖆𝖟𝖖𝖚𝖊𝖟 because he admitted it and was suspended like manny was, Manny wasn’t ejected he was suspended and was caught twice so the punishment was more severe
@@eriklaguiraoficial Hahaha that's funny So I can be a cheater but if say ok I'm guilty The problem disappear. The reason Is clear man! Manny Is Dominican and A-Rod played for USA in WBC. That's It.
Tim Lincecum only had a few great seasons, but I still have never seen a pitcher that is as exciting as Tim Lincecum in Cy Young form

Kershaw will never win a W.S. my opinion only of course, gets a little jock tightness in those big games..
@@IGtyi39AL78F56 that comment didn't age well.
Not a Giants fan, but I loved watching Lincecum pitch. His max effort mechanics paired with a fastball and bending curveball were fun to watch.
His thoracic extension and mobility was insane. Truly the freak
its amazing how much hardware he's won in such a short span of time
I miss Timmy
ditto that
I miss Timmy and Matt, the 2 best SF Giants pitchers ever along with MadBum.
Ik it’s 2018 and I’m still missing this
SFFan55 whatever happened to him ?
TheMcFather he died in a plane crash in the off-season a few years ago
RIP to a real HOF
I had forgotten how nice it was to watch a game without K-zone all over the screen.
What are all these people doing crammed together like that?
Squidward's Clarinet OP is making a COVID joke

Can’t wait.....well, maybe for a little while?

Many uno de los mejores bateadores dominicanos de toda la hostoria.

I remember this season Manny was getting booed so much from fans in SF.
The best hitter so comfortable in the plate
@@yehielhibshoosh7095 By far so far billions of miles you take steroids and never be the hitter that he is?
Willy cast steroid is just for endurance ,not agility ,good eye ,good plate discipline,it doesnt improve your playing skills.-many was a beast

Manny was gold, it was such a Beauty to see him batting.
Manny was a monster. Even Timmy was intimidated to a degree.
Imop, manny and bonds most feared hitters
Big time Timmy Jim. Giants need to retire #55 2 time cy young award winner 3 time world series champion 2 no no 4 time all star appearances
