I made a card for my SF contacts: "Have Gun Will Travel." I was willing to travel from Marin Co. to Carmel as a high end installer. Some co-workers called me, "The only white man that did not lie". ☺ In four decades I had mastered five skilled trades. Now we have open borders......
We can learn from the '49 Gold Rush that shovel sellers made a fortune; and gold miners got shot trying to transport their gains. Wells Fargo. Have Gun Will Travel. Colt.
Yup, the people who made the fortunes in the gold rush were the ones selling the supplies to the gold miners. Very few of them even found enough gold to make them worth robbing.
