Now let’s discuss the Prophecy of Prophet Muhammad (saws) in the New Testament. As far as the Christians are concerned whatever is mentioned in the Old Testaments they have to believe because it is a part of the scripture that’s part of the Bible. And Allah says in the Qur’an in Surah A’araaf chapter 7 verse 157
“They follow the unlettered Prophet which is mentioned in their law and Gospel”
It’s further mentioned in Surah Saff chapter no. 61 verse no. 6 that Jesus Christ (pbuh) says to Bani Israel, The children of Isreal “I’ve been sent as a Messenger to you confirming what came before me and giving glad tidings of a Messenger to come whose name shall be Ahmad” and when we read the new testament there are several prophecies of Prophet Muhammad (saws) mentioned in the New Testament.
It’s mentioned in the Gospel of John chapter no. 14 verse no. 16 it says, Jesus Christ (pbuh) says
“I shall pray to my father to send you a comforter who shall abide with you forever “
It’s mentioned in the Gospel of John chapter no. 15 verse no. 26
“And when the comforter will come whom my father will send he will glorify me.”
It’s mentioned in the Gospel of John chapter no. 16 verse no. 7
“Nevertheless I tell you the truth it is expedient for you that I go away, for if I go not away the comforter shall not come, for if I depart shall I send him”
Many of the Christians say that this comforter refers to the Holy Spirit.
Now carefully note the prophecy of Gospel of John chapter no. 16 verse no. 7 says, Jesus Christ (pbuh) is saying
“Nevertheless I tell you the truth it is expedient for you that I go away, for if I go not away the comforter shall not come, for if I depart shall I send him”
The criteria for the comforter to come are that Jesus Christ (pbuh) should depart only if he departs the comforter will come. We know that the Holy Spirit was there when Jesus Christ (pbuh) was being baptized; the Holy Spirit was also there before Jesus Christ (pbuh) was born he was in the womb of Elizabeth several places it’s mentioned in the Bible.
So surely this comforter cannot refer to the Holy Spirit and further more the word comforter, if you go to the Greek Aramaic the present scripture it says it is “PARACLETE” and they translated as “COMFORTER”.
Paraclete actually means an Advocate and if you go into research the right word is “PARACLETOS” which means one who praises or one who is worth praising. Irrespective which is the name of Muhammad (saws) Ahmad and Muhammad (saws) Irrespective whether it is “PARACLETOS” the one who praises or the praiseworthy or it is “PARACLETE” whether advocate or comforter. Allhumdulillah all these meanings befit no one better than the last and final Messenger Muhammad (saws).
Further it’s mentioned in the Gospel of John ch. No. 16 verse no. 12-14 Jesus Christ (pbuh) says
“I have many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now, for he when the spirit of truth shall come he shall guide you unto all truth he shall not speak of himself, all that he hear shall he speak, he shall glorify me, he shall show you things to come”
This prophecy says I have many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now Jesus Christ (pbuh) tells the people I have many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now, for he when the spirit of truth shall come he shall guide you unto all truth he shall not speak of himself...

So when you call your pastor/priest father, are you saying the pastor has sex with your mum who then gave birth to you? Or when you pray to God and you call him father, are you also Gods offspring like Jesus?
Or is it simply a term of respect. We call God father because we all came from Him, but we are not his literal children. Or when an old man calls you ‘son’ and he doesn’t mean it literally. Should I take this old man as my dad after he calls me son?
Dr. Naik begins this video citing Surah 7:157 and Surah 61:6. It's worth remembering that if the passages he quotes *don't* actually predict Muhammad, and no other ones do, then Islam must be false. Presumably Dr. Naik is giving his best examples in this video.
"John 14:16. John 15:26. John 16:7."
Dr. Naik never actually explains the context of these verses. They're all part of a longer conversation that spans three whole chapters in John 14-16. Multiple times Jesus promises this Comforter (the Greek word is Paraclete).
Dr. Naik never explains:
1. Who Jesus is talking to
2. What has come before
3. What Jesus promises will come after.
Why? Because if he did, he would be forced to explain that Jesus is saying all of this to his original 12 disciples, and promising that he will "lay down his life" (John 15:12-13). If Dr. Naik were to explain the context, he would have to explain that Jesus is promising the Paraclete to his original 12 disciples, who lived and died 500+ years before Muhammad was ever born. They couldn't possibly have been comforted by Muhammad in Jesus' absence, because *they never met Muhammad.*
There are other smaller details that Jesus gives in these chapters that indicate that the Paraclete is the Holy Spirit. In John 14:17 Jesus says that the disciples "know [the Paraclete], for he dwells with [them] and will be in [them]." In what sense was Muhammad ever "with and in" Jesus *original disciples?*
And even in John 16:7. Who sends the Paraclete, according to John 16:7? Dr. Naik himself read it: It's *Jesus* who sends the Comforter. Does Jesus send prophets, Dr. Naik? Did Jesus send Muhammad?
"We know that the Holy Spirit was there when Jesus was being baptized."
Where? Not "with and in" the disciples, Dr. Naik. The Holy Spirit was on *Jesus* in Matthew 3:13-17.
"He was in the womb of Elizabeth."
Yes, in the foetal John the Baptist. We also know that the Holy Spirit had a role in Jesus' conception in the womb of Mary. But the Holy Spirit was *not* present in anyone in a permanent, indwelling way, except Jesus, up until Acts 2. We know this from John 7:39, which *explicitly says so* , seven chapters before Jesus first uses the word "Paraclete."

No, Dr. Naik, it means "Helper" or "Advocate." Here's a source:

What does *the very next verse say* , Dr. Naik?
"All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you."
In other words, the Paraclete glorifies a Jesus with whom the Father shares *all things.*
Do you, as a Muslim, believe that the Father shares *all things* with Jesus, Dr. Naik?
Of course you don't.
"Muhammad glorified Jesus in the Qur'an."
No, he didn't. He explicitly denied things Jesus said and did. He inserted words into Jesus' mouth in Surah 61:6 and Surah 7:157. He denied Jesus' most important mission in Surah 4:157. *Nothing* about these verses honours Jesus.
"We believe he was the Messiah, translated Christ."
Yes, but Muslims have no idea what that term means. According to the Bible, the Messiah was an "anointed one" who would be born to die for sins (Isaiah 53, Zechariah 12:10-13:1), bring all people groups to worship the God of Israel (Isaiah 49:6), and ultimately reign as a heavenly king over all people groups (Daniel 7:13-14). Islam doesn't teach that about Jesus. It may use the same term, but it empties that term of all of its meaning.
"We believe he was born miraculously, without any male intervention, which many modern-day Christians do not believe."
It's hard to know what Dr. Naik means by this. Many Muslims assume that Christians believe God had sex with Mary to produce Jesus. But Trinitarian Christians have never believed this. To say that God had sex with Mary would be blasphemous to every Trinitarian. Why doesn't Dr. Naik clarify?
"This is the tip of an iceberg."
No, it's not, Dr. Naik. In terms of the Gospels, it's pretty much the only example you ever use. Nowhere in either Matthew, Mark, or Luke is there *any* mention of a prophet to come. In fact, many passages in those three Gospels say that Jesus' message will spread without being corrupted (which you don't believe), and that Jesus was sent for every nation (which you also don't believe). In some passages, like Matthew 21:33-44, Jesus leaves no room for a prophet to come after him, and in other passages, like Matthew 24, Jesus *explicitly warns* against false prophets, without any indication that a true prophet will follow him.
My Muslim friends, why do you insist on following this man? Why don't you care how much he lies to you?
TL; DR: Dr. Naik is a liar and you shouldn't trust him.
If you're a Muslim, I have two questions for you:
1. How much of the Bible have you read for yourself? Which parts of it have you read?
2. Do you believe it is wrong for Muslims to quote the Bible out of context? Yes or no?

These gods can come into conflict, they are fundamentally anthropomorphized in their essence, and they are ultimately subject to the more powerful forces of karma, dharma, and samsara. Christians believe that God is separate and sovereign over the universe, active within it, answers to no one but Himself, and is, within His very essence, the love between three Persons within His one single Being.
You didn't answer my questions above. How much of the Bible have you read for yourself? Which parts? And do you believe that it is wrong for Muslims to take the Bible out of context? Yes or no?

And why do you assume that differences between Islam and Judeo-Christianity are a badge of honour for the Qur'an? Remember, *all* of the OT prophets believed God could and had entered into creation *without* leaving heaven, contrary to Islam?

They have taken their scholars and monks as lords besides Allah and the Messiah, the son of Mary. And they were not commanded except to worship one God; there is no deity except Him. Exalted is He above whatever they associate with Him.

Why Jesus is the prophet described
1. He should be an Israelite- Proof:- He was an Israelite, you can check His geneology in Mathew and Luke Gospel

Reasons why Muhammad is not the said prophet
1. He was not an Israelite, - the term Israelites begun from Jacob when God gave him the name Israel. Islam claims that Muhammad has a relationship with Ishmael, but as you can see Ishmael preceeds Jacob, meaning Ishmael was not an Israelite

he did many signs and wonders:
i. Al-Ma’idah, the fifth chapter of the Quran, declares that Isa has the power to have food sent down from above. He prayed, “O Allah, our Lord, send down to us a table [spread with food] from the heaven . . .” (Qs 5:112-114). The Injil testifies that Isa fed 5,000 people and 4,000 people with very little food (Gospels, Matthew 14:13-21; 15:32-39).
ii. The fifth miracle of Isa in the Quran is raising someone from the dead. “. . . I give life to the dead . . .” (Qs 3:49).
The Gospels record how Isa raised several people from the dead (Gospels, Luke 7:11-17; 8:40-56), including Lazarus (Gospels, John 11:1-46). ETC ETC.....
You decide, But as for Me, the Prophet being described is none other than JESUS CHRIST.

In John ch 15 v 26
Verse 26. “But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me".

Mr. Naik quotes parts from John 16. But let's read more about John 16:
"I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. So the Paracletos will guide the disciples in all truth. Did Muhammad guide the disciples in all truth. Certainly not, beside Muhammad came 6 centuries later he also said a lot of wrong things about Jesus. Therefore the Paracletos cannot be Muhammad.

2. If the Comforter is the holy Spirit, then indeed it can’t be Muhammad as it says in Luke 1:15 that John the Baptist was to be filled with the Holy Spirit before he was born. Muhammad only appeared on the scene 600 years after Jesus’ death.

Jesus literally tells us who the Comforter is two chapters prior to this verse:
John 14:25-26
25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

Now let’s discuss the Prophecy of Prophet Muhammad (saws) in the New Testament. As far as the Christians are concerned whatever is mentioned in the Old Testaments they have to believe because it is a part of the scripture that’s part of the Bible. And Allah says in the Qur’an in Surah A’araaf chapter 7 verse 157
“They follow the unlettered Prophet which is mentioned in their law and Gospel”
It’s further mentioned in Surah Saff chapter no. 61 verse no. 6 that Jesus Christ (pbuh) says to Bani Israel, The children of Isreal “I’ve been sent as a Messenger to you confirming what came before me and giving glad tidings of a Messenger to come whose name shall be Ahmad” and when we read the new testament there are several prophecies of Prophet Muhammad (saws) mentioned in the New Testament.
It’s mentioned in the Gospel of John chapter no. 14 verse no. 16 it says, Jesus Christ (pbuh) says
“I shall pray to my father to send you a comforter who shall abide with you forever “
It’s mentioned in the Gospel of John chapter no. 15 verse no. 26
“And when the comforter will come whom my father will send he will glorify me.”
It’s mentioned in the Gospel of John chapter no. 16 verse no. 7
“Nevertheless I tell you the truth it is expedient for you that I go away, for if I go not away the comforter shall not come, for if I depart shall I send him”
Many of the Christians say that this comforter refers to the Holy Spirit.
Now carefully note the prophecy of Gospel of John chapter no. 16 verse no. 7 says, Jesus Christ (pbuh) is saying
“Nevertheless I tell you the truth it is expedient for you that I go away, for if I go not away the comforter shall not come, for if I depart shall I send him”
The criteria for the comforter to come are that Jesus Christ (pbuh) should depart only if he departs the comforter will come. We know that the Holy Spirit was there when Jesus Christ (pbuh) was being baptized; the Holy Spirit was also there before Jesus Christ (pbuh) was born he was in the womb of Elizabeth several places it’s mentioned in the Bible.
So surely this comforter cannot refer to the Holy Spirit and further more the word comforter, if you go to the Greek Aramaic the present scripture it says it is “PARACLETE” and they translated as “COMFORTER”.
Paraclete actually means an Advocate and if you go into research the right word is “PARACLETOS” which means one who praises or one who is worth praising. Irrespective which is the name of Muhammad (saws) Ahmad and Muhammad (saws) Irrespective whether it is “PARACLETOS” the one who praises or the praiseworthy or it is “PARACLETE” whether advocate or comforter. Allhumdulillah all these meanings befit no one better than the last and final Messenger Muhammad (saws).
Further it’s mentioned in the Gospel of John ch. No. 16 verse no. 12-14 Jesus Christ (pbuh) says
“I have many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now, for he when the spirit of truth shall come he shall guide you unto all truth he shall not speak of himself, all that he hear shall he speak, he shall glorify me, he shall show you things to come”
This prophecy says I have many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now Jesus Christ (pbuh) tells the people I have many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now, for he when the spirit of truth shall come he shall guide you unto all truth he shall not speak of himself...

The first mistake in here is that many islamic apologists say מַחֲּמַדִּ֑ים is ‘muhamaddim’. But that is wong, it is ‘ma-kha-madim’. So there is no pronunciation of Muhammad.
The other mistake made by islamic apologists is that they say that ‘מַחֲּמַדִּ֑ים' is a name. Again wrong because מַחֲּמַדִּ֑ים is an masculine plural noun, so it is not a name (like יְהוִֹה, Yhvh). And because it is not a name it cannot refer to Muhammad.

According to Gospel of John chapter no. 16 verse no. 7 says, Jesus Christ (pbuh) is saying:
“Nevertheless I tell you the truth it is expedient for you that I go away, for if I go not away the comforter shall not come, for if I depart shall I send him” The criteria for the comforter (sometimes translated as advocate) to come are that Jesus Christ (pbuh) should depart- only if he departs the comforter will come. We know that the Holy Spirit was there when Jesus Christ (pbuh) was being baptized; the Holy Spirit was also there before Jesus Christ (pbuh) was born he was in the womb of Elizabeth several places it’s mentioned in the Bible.

John 14:17 talks about how the comforter is not received by the world because it’s not seen by the world, and that he dwells in them. Did Muhammad dwell in the disciples 600 years before his birth ? If Muhammad was prophesied in John 16:7 like you said then Islam is false and you claim Jesus as God because according to the Quran Allah sent Muhammad but at the end of John 16:7 Jesus says “for if I depart shall I send him” so Jesus is Allah? First of all the term used in John 16:17 is Spirit of Truth, its not clear to me this is the same as the advocate though honestly I could see how the argument could be made its not a string one as these are distinctly separate terms. Second you claim that according to 16:7 Jesus (pbuh) claims that he will send the advocate but 16:17 states 'And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever' Which is it? These two verses seem to contradict each other. I'm sure you will respond with a claim to the effect of Jesus (pbuh) may have once said 'I and the father are one' but honestly that statement in and of itself is contradictory b/c one entity is 1, 2 are two, and 3 are 3. Circular logic you like to use in your response to pretend Muslims think any prophet is God doesn't really hold water imo and while we accept the Gospel that doesn't mean we think it is in it's original form.

Jesus didn't say "for if I go not away, the comforter will not come unto WORLD" He used word UNTO YOU. So yes it's true that holy spirit was already in the world. But holy spirit was not with the disciples of Jesus christ. Therefore when jesus left the disciples, then the holy spirit came to disciples.

The Hebrew words in Deuterenomy 18:18, מִקֶּ֥רֶב אֲחֵיהֶ֖ם, miq-qe-reḇ ’ă-ḥê-hem ‘from their brothers' is NEVER applied in relation with people outside of Israel. So it can never be Muhammad because he did not come from the Israelites. And of course, you Islamic apologists never mention the CONTEXT. Because already in verse 15 Muhammad is excluded: “The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your countrymen, you shall listen to him. “. Here it says 'a prophet among you, from your countrymen', in Hebrew מִקִּרְבְּךָ֤ מֵאַחֶ֙יךָ֙, miq·qir·be·ḵā mê·’a·ḥe·ḵā, in which the word מִקִּרְבְּךָ֤, miq-qir-bə-ḵā, means FROM INSIDE. So it says clearly that a prophet will arise from inside the Israelites, not outside. And Muhammad was no Israelite therefore in Deuteronomy 18 is clearly NOT about Muhammad.

The Spirit of God was not upon Muhammad, but on Jesus. Therefore Isaiah 42 is about Jesus his 1st and 2nd coming and therefore Isaiah 42 is not about Muhammad.

Furthermore you made a bad copy paste. Because the real Hebrew word in Isaiah 42:1 which is stated here is NOT ‘ruh’! The real word stated in Isaiah 42:1 is ‘rū·ḥî’ ( רוּחִי֙)! Just read the Hebrew text.
And ‘rū·ḥî’ means “MY SPIRIT"!

Mr Naik said that Christian say that the Paracletos is the Holy Spirit. But that is not because of the Christians say so but that is because Jesus himself said that Paracletos is the Holy Spirit. Read it by yourself in John 14:26

You refer to the Gospel passages where Jesus Christ says He will ask HIS FATHER (God) to send a comforter who will be with people forever, when your Qur'an denies that Jesus was the Son of God. So when you refer to a Bible that you think is twisted, you become hypocrites, you don't believe the gospel, but you refer to it.

one problem, in chapter 16 verse 7 Jesus says “never the less I tell you the truth it is expedient for you that I go away for if I go not away the comforter shall not come for if I depart shall I send him”
You say the comforter is the Holy Spirit but if the criteria of the comforter to come is if Jesus departs and the Holy Spirit existed before Jesus do how can he send something that is already there?
Plus the word used for comforter in Aramaic and Greek is “paracletos” which literally translates to “the praiseworthy” which is the meaning of the name “Muhammad” so Muhammad was both mentioned in the old and New Testament
