Thanks. Best explainer by the lady about the DeepSeek panic, basics about AI, and why DeepSeek bursting on the scene, is important to a stock trader like me, concerned about the impact on NVDA's chips. Thanks to her I got it - the speed of DeepSeek answering questions, the breadth of detail, and at a low cost. My takeaway is that because DeepSeek is open source, all the AI players of America got to see a new and improved PAPER CLIP giving 50x throughput; and NO threat to American AI chips. This booster shot out of the blue is actually a gift, advancing all AI developers faster to the next frontier of AI. A win-win. Only complaint, her train of thought was often interrupted (and mine following along). The thought was not completed, and so info was lost. Maybe she can revisit DeepSeek again - alone - when we see its impact on American AI, if any.
@@davidkellymitchell4747 Interesting. Since DeepSeek is open, it can be augmented to US AI development. The speed and breadth of detail. I wonder what's it Energy consumption.
I've heard that if you run the local model of Deepseek it will answer questions about Tiananmen Square without censorship. I also think that China may not be telling the truth about which chips they are using. They wouldn't necessarily need to acquire them directly from Nvidia, but from a nation state they're friendly with, say for instance Singapore.
You arent finished thinking this thing out. There is a distinct possibility that AI could escape the control of any human. It may already have and we just dont know it yet.
Hmm. This is what they do. I'm sure you can find 150 other videos and counting on the DeepSeek crisis. I totally enjoy Kim and Andrew. Fun, funny chat. ;-)
It is really not that hard to understand why Chinese AI like Deep Seek is a lot cheaper, and more effective, at least, in the Chinese language domain. Chinese researchers and engineers focus on model and logic backed up by vast amounts of data collected by many big companies like Tencent. Alibaba, Xiaomi, etc, while the U.S. counterparts rely heavily on chips capacity and capabilities for computing. There is far more human intelligence involved in Deep Seek than ChatGTP. Human intelligence is lot cheaper and efficient and effective than hardware. The Western media pretend not to understand this simple fact because they don’t know how to compete with China and they don’t know how to deal with the consequences in the human intelligence domain. Cooperation with China is the only viable option for the U.S., so that the U.S. would know a lot more about what China is doing, and vice versa, for a better world.
I wonder if the US government will start banning Roborock and other Chinese made robot vacuums. I personally opted not to buy Roborock, despite all their fabulous features, because I have concerns about potential surveillance in my home by a company controlled by the Chinese government.
It sounds like from this description of deep-seek, the chinese have simply made the overall problem of controlling AI, vastly much more difficult and dangerous!🤷♂️🤦🏻♂️🙄

I tried it and tried to confuse it and believe me it's smart to the point it tries to figure out why I think like I do like a psychologist.

I'm not as concerned about war as I am about loss of freedom, civil rights, and personal autonomy. That's the biggest danger we face with AI.
The lawn mower is called Lawny.
Good grief, get to the point. The guy is useless. I came to get info on Deepseek and you are still rambling at 4 min.
