Maddison, 10000% people do pressure the engagement thing when you've been with someone a while. I was with my, now husband, for 4 years before we got engaged. We were both in toxic relationships before and just didn't want to rush into that final step. Now we've been married for almost 7 years now and we couldn't be happier bc we did it on our own time table, not everyone else's.
Also, rushing and pressuring will lead to divorce and not forever. We all need to let them do this on their timetable. Them feeling pressured to do it, only bad things will happen then.

I had been together with my now husband since 2009 when I was a senior and he was a junior in high school. He proposed around my 30th birthday in Mexico in December 2020 and we got married March 26, 2022. Our wedding date was also our dating anniversary and we had been together for 13 years at that point. Great things take time and even though I would have liked to be married sooner, I think us waiting felt like 'invisible strings' and everything worked out perfectly.
One of my really good family friends has a similar story to this and they just welcomed their first child! Completely agree with everything you said! Thank you for sharing your story with me 🥰🩷

So the only way his friends can believe his lies he cuts off all the people who actually have seen proof that he’s a big stinking liar. He can have career opportunities AND be married to her! She is busy a lot too so he would have plenty of time to focus on his career AND be married. The Mahomes do it
