I absolutely love learning from Jill. She is the best instructor I have ever encountered in my close to 40 years in the health and fitness business as a Private Trainer. I have incorporated her extraordinary methodology into my training with clients and the results are quite significant. Thank you Jill!
I'm sitting here with a sprained/torn sartorius getting educated - and couldn't believe you mentioned a hip replacement! I had mine replaced 5 months ago, did PT, lots of walking but still ended up spraining this muscle. You are 100% correct that more needs to be said about this "unpopular" muscle.
The tailors muscle, as it promotes the cross-legged sitting position that tailors would maintain while working. Also the longest muscle in the body. Great stuff. Love your work.
Aaahh!! Yes yes!! My goodness it seems the Sartorius chapter of learning was skipped altogether for many supposed PT/Ortho !?! My Sart got so taught & troubled that it actually caused swelling & yowzers! tenderness at my gooses foot. And of course sometimes Charlie Horse like tightness in the front of my quad. My Ortho sent me for imaging assuming ' bakers' 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ NoNoNo. Eventually I figured it out for myself. I am So grateful for all that you do. Worth your weight in 🥇 gold 🤙Bendy sister 💕
I had a sports injury many years ago where I ended up in the splits position with some force and it hurt alot. Since then I've had popping and clicking from my hip/groin.. Pain travels from. Hip to knee and the bottom of my foot. This is interesting to know and I shall look further in to this unpopular muscle
Glad I stumbled on this video. My PT uncovered that I have issues with my Sartorius. This could have multiple causes but I did have a hip replacement over 5 years ago and I'd like to ask you about the issues you had, how you recovered from them and how long it took-
Found a mid thigh muscle that cramps quick. I stand at the squat rack with bar set at hip height then bring mid thigh up to touch it then tense glute of standing leg and quad to keep knee back. Once tense kick foot forward of horizontal thigh leg maintaining contact and fight against hamstring and hold as long as possible...only 10 seconds or so. Had a big imbalance left to right. Is that a sprinters muscle for kicking leg forward quick? Will being strong here make me a faster runner? What else does it do? I thought that was the satorius.
Wow! I had hip surgery too, 8 years ago…left me with one leg mildly longer than the other, needing orthotics, tilted pelvic plane and daily pain in what I now know to be the infamous sartorious! This video will change my life! Thank you for showing us this!👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻🙏🏻👍🏻

I overstretched mine with lunges.
Amazing and motivating presentation brought to the viewer in a delicate and thoughtful manner. Thank you!
Well done. Thank you

Just the way you teach I GET it! Thankyou so much!
Good anatomy demonstration.
I can hear your hearts sounds! 🫀
Am here because my prof didn’t explain the movement of sartorius very well, thank you so much.
Thanks excellent video.
Also, limitation in the FAbER position is usually more limited by weakness in the sartorius rather than "tightness in the hip".
I get cramps in the sartorius and they are no joke. Mostly after cycling. Gonna try these rolls to see if I can get some relief. Thanks
This video was really helpful before I can get into a PT for a full exam!
I recently found your channel and I love your explanations.
Very informative and helpful, thank you.
Thanks for the video, it was excellent

Glute minimus is mostly stabilizing your hips laterally
