Gemini was the exchange I was told to use back in 2017 and so I opened an account or should I say, I finally got the account open. Unless you have to have Gemini for a certain issue that's not at another exchange I'd say; Go to another high rated exchange first. There are too many things I'm irritated by when I'm having to use Gemini. I still have one long term hodl there but unless I have to use Gemini, I won't. The twins are seemingly set in their approach to whatever they do. So, some of what they think is okay/good but some is just the two of them doing stuff their own way.
Yeah. I opened an account back in 2017. I linked BOA and did a wire transfer with no issues.. I closed the bank account in 2018. I got back into crypto this year. They require a wire transfer at first. BoA will not do this, and my credit union will not either. I have binance us. I am able to transfer via ACH via credit union. I need to find a bank that allows wire transfers.

Gemini is my go to. I usually limit buy which reduces fees. KYC was not nearly as laborious as Binance or Kraken. I still use coinbase but their fees are higher than Gemini.

@@1040chino Unfortunately they do not have Cardano. When you look at their website they show the prices of Pokadot and Cardano but when you create an account their is no way to buy them. That made it very misleading as I was interested in buying them. Aside from that Gemini is very simple and very safe as most of their reviews say but they are very limited to what they offer.

Do not put any money on this exchange until your identity is verified!! It's been 3 weeks and my verification is still "pending" and they will not let me withdraw crypto until it completes. CoinBase and Kraken approved me instantly so I have no idea what is happening.

I think Robinhood crypto exchange is better, although not accurate when buying or selling because they leave a 1%-5% room for volatility changes, that's the only true fee. Everything else is free. Now they are finally working on a way to pull your coins might make people reconsider them.

Im not really sure what to believe. Gemini looks good but i have seen endless bad reviews for it today and when i wanted to deposit funds from my bank I was warned that they couldn't verify the account and that it could be a scam. I'm a little unhappy that these fees weren't told to me anywhere through the signup process. Does anyone have any idea why Gemini is doing so poorly here in the UK? @@Sovl I believe Gemini has their own "institutional" storage. Basically a server where they have all their customers crypto currency. Of course this type of storage is prone to hacking. I'm not sure if you're able to move it to your own "hot storage" .

Most of Gemini's fees are regarding trading, you can have them hold your assets, while trading elsewhere.

There exchange is slower than dial up! Its Bad. Those two twin pricks should be embarrassed! Every other exchange out there runs much faster. They are super rich and wont fix it. Been with them for 4 years and they update everything but making there fricking website exchange work better...
I have had nothing but problems with Gemini service whio have taken tokens away from my portfolio and when you transfer to your personal wallet you get charged twice and they never tell you about what you are getting charged. I kept getting messages saying that my 168 ENJ tokens have been sent to primary but what is primary when I don't see any of those tokens in my portfolio--and I asked for help for months? Help me someone so they can give me my tokens. This has been going on since March almost a year ago. Please Gemini put my tokens in my portfolio.

Do not put any money on this exchange until your identity is verified!! It's been 3 weeks and my verification is still "pending" and they will not let me withdraw crypto until it completes. CoinBase and Kraken approved me instantly so I have no idea what is happening.

Blockfi has pays good interest for BTC.
I think Robinhood crypto exchange is better, although not accurate when buying or selling because they leave a 1%-5% room for volatility changes, that's the only true fee. Everything else is free. Now they are finally working on a way to pull your coins might make people reconsider them.

Im not really sure what to believe. Gemini looks good but i have seen endless bad reviews for it today and when i wanted to deposit funds from my bank I was warned that they couldn't verify the account and that it could be a scam. I'm a little unhappy that these fees weren't told to me anywhere through the signup process. Does anyone have any idea why Gemini is doing so poorly here in the UK? There are lots of complaints that people can't withdraw their funds or have their accounts put under review and im no longer sure what to do.

@@Sovl I believe Gemini has their own "institutional" storage. Basically a server where they have all their customers crypto currency. Of course this type of storage is prone to hacking. I'm not sure if you're able to move it to your own "hot storage" .
