- As a songwriter, I write songs from my own experiences. I tell stories about the path I have been on, wondering if anyone else has been on a similar journey. The first step in writing this new record was a personal transformation that I didn't know I needed in my life! Even though, as I am sharing today, it was a challenging one - I learned so much and I’m so grateful to be here healthy, happy and singing away :)
I share this with you as an artist sharing where the poetry in this song comes from, and as a human who deeply feels and understands that everyone has their own story and their own challenges they are overcoming each day. You never know what someone is going through and this is an extremely hard time for people. So I send this story to you with the message of hope and love. Getting through the tough times is hard, but “with a little time and a little hope, with a little light you never know. For a little space, for a lot of love, close your eyes and think of a better time, big dreams; open your mind for you to find a little strength inside. Stop and rewind”.

I love Delta, she’s Australia’s nicest, most humble and talented asset. She’s always positive and such a warm, genuine personality. I had no idea she was going through yet another health challenge, and like the last time, she has come through it bravely. I don’t have a single bad word to say about her and that’s rare for me since I like so few people and that goes double for celebrities. I really do wish her all the best in life and very much look forward to hearing her latest album.
I cannot deal with how privately and gracefully you deal with the hits you've taken in life and cannot fathom how you always come back spiritually and vocally stronger. God gave you a gift and literally nothing can take that from you. You have a blessing and you are a blessing to this Earth. I love you!
Yeah it must be hard, which is why not everyone is worth $20mil otherwise you and I would be there. It’s sad that you’ve minimised another humans journey based on their bank account. When you’re diagnosed with Hodgson’s disease and lymphoma before the age of 20 and put your heart into singing to make a living then have your voice taken from you because you have ongoing complications which stem from cancer, I hope someone discredits your mental strength and determination by saying “but you have money, life can’t be that hard for you” just to see how you feel. You ARE aware that terminal illness and health complications don’t discriminate against looks or money, right? That’s not how the human body works....

It is the worst thing ever!!One of my mouth/tongue nerve got Damage during a surgery, I remember trying to speak and my brain couldn’t indicate that to my tongue, I’m a teacher, and translator, just like you Delta, I cried and gave up but I continued. It’s been almost 2 years since that surgery, I’ve recovered 90% of my tongue sensitivity and can speak perfectly!!! I’m crying watching this!!! You’re an inspiration 💛God bless you!! I have a huge disc prolaps pressing against my leg nerve since more than three years now. It took the doctors one year to diagnose it, and during that time there was moments in which I literally couldn't walk anymore. It was terrifying. Good luck for your recovery and greets from Germany :)

I've watched this multiple times. Not only is Delta a world class musician, singer, and songwriter, she's also an impeccable human. It may sound cliche but she is truly an inspiration.
They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. What a wonderful human being and inspiration to all of us, truly beautiful inside and out.

Such a beautiful song. Even more powerful now I know the meaning behind it. I have only just heard what had happened and heard the song. Such a brave woman. Massive respect for her. Stayed strong and battled through.
This isn't the music I usually listen to but I can appreciate it and can recognise pure talent and vocals sung from the heart when I hear it.

Oh my goodness. I was not expecting that. I thought the song was about your cancer battle. What a thing to go through. You've done so well to get to where you are. I can't imagine how hard it must have been but you've shown what hard work and determination can do.

Delta is a household name in Australia and the UK. For some reason the USA constantly turn our artists down and protect their own and as a result they missed out on some of the worlds best ever artists including Delta, Vanessa Amorosi, John Farnham and Jimmy Barnes. All of these four singers are miles above 95% of the artists you hear in the U.S. and all have been turned down by the U.S.
I have a new respect for Delta and the amazing talent she is!!!

A few years ago, I was sick as a dog, bedridden and just wishing it would all just be over. Your music, courage, beauty and humbleness are what kept me going and got me through some bloody bad times. My neighbours must have heard your albums a thousand times and your music and person still move me today as much as you did then. All the best for your future. Life has its battles and we have to push on. Our daughter was shot in the head by an ex-boyfriend in college. She pushes every day to wake up, and find something positive in the day. Thanks for sharing. Our daughter is a fighter like you. 💕🦋
Delta you’ve inspired me. I have nerve damage after wisdom tooth surgery and it affected my speech and I had to retrain because I developed a lisp, almost 4 years later and half my mouth and half my toungue is still numb and I still notice a little lisp, it’s definitely a long journey, thanks for helping me be strong.

Delta, I am from the US and have only heard a little bit of your music, but what I have heard is beautiful. It is not beautiful because of the technical precision nor the perfect tones. Its beauty does not come from great backing vocals or great guitar riffs. The beauty of your music, and I believe everyone would agree, comes from your heart. Pouring on's self into their art is what brings out beauty even in a chaotic mess. Your speech is not what defines you. Your appearance does not define you (you are stunning). Your heart and what you do through your heart is what defines you and it is beautiful.

I'm struggling to find the words to describe how this makes me feel. You're absolutely incredible Delta, I've been a fan since your very first album and it's my dream to see you live someday. Please come to the UK when concerts are scheduled again! Can't begin to imagine how tough these illnesses have been for you, but I am so thankful that you are back in good health. Delta you are amazing. I am studying speech pathology and my teacher put up the video of you in the project. I was nearly in tears. I was doing another degree in allied health. Long COVID gave me expressive aphasia. In lay terms my brain was slightly scrambled. I knew what I wanted to say but I couldn’t find the words. My favorite teacher referred me to a speech pathologist. He was the learning skills advisor. I had a client in emotional pain and I couldn’t get my words out to tell my supervisor. I felt embarrassed and scared. As a nurse I am quick to get pain issues addressed. However my scrambled brains made me looked incompetent. I am glad you are better. When I am drowning in assignments and readings this song inspires me

Amazing 😭❤🙏 Just goes to show that when everything else is lost, character is the one matter that remains through the cosmos. So much so that not only does it withstand tragedy and suffering (or at least not make it worse than it already is), but it may even present the highest possible likelihood of reigniting regeneration towards a new beginning, one that was maybe even stronger and wiser than before the old order.

Watching this video it made me cry, but it made my heart just feel for you, the struggle you have gone through and the story behind the song. I have been listening to your music from the very start and your continued rebirth with each new song, new album, and your continued positivity you exude, It just made me think; "These wings were made to fly", and that this would not be the end by any means.

I can so relate to this Delta. In 2018 I had a massive brain surgery and when I woke up I had lost all feeling in the right side of my face, head, teeth, tongue and lips. I lost the sight in my right eye and the hearing in my right ear. The Neurosurgeon told me the feeling may come back but it’s been 3 years and nothing as yet.
