If you see the realities of war, you feel betrayed and deceived. In the Russian case, you’re not seeing something suggesting you’re winning or that it would be easy. You’re seeing the reality of war. Yes, it is not abnormal. There are a significant number of ethnic Ukrainians fighting on the Russian side. One of the benefits of a *national identity is that ethnicity no longer fully dictates allegiance (e.g. WWII Italians fighting for USA, WWI germans fighting for Russia). Ukraine's original mistake in this war was removing Russian language rights which created ethnic loyalty issues within their country. Even then, a lot of ethnic Russians are still fighting for Ukraine. Edit: "country" or "national identity" not "nation state".

They didn't ban the Orthodox Church. They banned the Moscow-based Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), a church accused of maintaining ties with Russia. Ukraine still has an Orthodox Church, the Constantinople-based Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU). So, as I said, no, Ukraine didn't ban the Orthodox Church. It's still very much thriving in Ukraine, as 52% of Ukraine's whole population are members of the OCU (as of April 2022). The banned UOC only had 4% of Ukraine's population as their members as of March 2022, so this ban wasn't a huge blow to Orthodox Christianity in Ukraine. Hope that clears it up for you.
Ukrainians have their own orthodox national church. Ukraine just started to ban RUSSIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH ( Moscow patriarchy church) during initial attack in 2022 members of that church assisted russian army. Therefore Ukraine bans that pro Russian Orthodox Church. Bulgaria has its own national altruistic church just like Serbia, Greece etc. It’s just imperialist russians who do not agree that Ukraine can have its own church. I like that in Russian ad they are mentioning Ukrainians as one of main ethnics in Russia, right before Russians themselves. Ukraine ad doesn't show clear ideology and it's clearly not based on religion (Christianity), it reminds more of a paganism (but again, it's also not shown clearly). What I like about Russian ad is it shows the truth and reality of war and is based heavily on religion of a soldier, which can be various - from Christianity to Islam and eveh Judaism and Buddhism.

It is logical that in Ukraine the burden of this war will fall on the shoulders of people between 25 and 35. Just like in Russia the young population from the regions of the social bottom will be raked in en masse.
Most former USSR countries have demographic problems like that. Russia is at a bit of an advantage because they have more people in general and less people leave their country because the war is mostly far away from their people.

Also the sound ofc has a psychological impact, especially to ukrainian troops which often do not want to fight

Yes, it is not abnormal. There are a significant number of ethnic Ukrainians fighting on the Russian side.
One of the benefits of a *national identity is that ethnicity no longer fully dictates allegiance (e.g. WWII Italians fighting for USA, WWI germans fighting for Russia). Ukraine's original mistake in this war was removing Russian language rights which created ethnic loyalty issues within their country. Even then, a lot of ethnic Russians are still fighting for Ukraine.

Ukraine still has an Orthodox Church, the Constantinople-based Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU). So, as I said, no, Ukraine didn't ban the Orthodox Church. It's still very much thriving in Ukraine, as 52% of Ukraine's whole population are members of the OCU (as of April 2022). The banned UOC only had 4% of Ukraine's population as their members as of March 2022, so this ban wasn't a huge blow to Orthodox Christianity in Ukraine. Hope that clears it up for you.

I am Belarusian, but I also consider myself Russian. In russian language has two words, "русский" (this means the nationality of the people) and "россиянин" (this means a citizen of Russia). But there are many different nationalities in Russia itself. But if the words "русский" and "россиянин" are translated into English, then you get "Russian" and "Russian". This makes it difficult for people from other countries to understand the details of the structure of society in Russia.

Но означало одно - русский дух, русскость, без всяких "citizen of Russia")

@@PentaRaus yes it is pretty accurate to actual warfare, the main usage of a machine gunner in this situation is to suppress enemy fire by firing, i mean the explosion part is not that accurate to the current warfare but this situation is pretty much possible, both sides trying to suppress the other by using bullets and granates, also possible is that they try to cover their comrades which are moving, basically by firing in the general direction of the enemy, they can protect advancing or retreating soldiers. Also the sound ofc has a psychological impact, especially to ukrainian troops which often do not want to fight
