  • laneyards.com/ - A lanyard (scoubidou, boondoggle) similar to the Corkscrew but with some unique differences.
    You will need:
4 pieces of craft lace - two longer pieces of the same color and two shorter pieces that are each a different color
1' of craft lace for the longer pieces and 8'' of craft lace for the shorter pieces will equal about 1'' of lanyard
Not sure where to find gimp and lanyard materials? Check out my supply list: www.wheretogetg...

I just completed a Twist with 2 - 12 foot gimps and 1 - 18 foot gimp for a finished 13 and a 1/2 inch Twist Lanyard using your method. This, "Swirl", will be my next project. It kind of boggles the mind to see you do it and I may need to watch the video several times before I get it.
In any case, Thanks for your patience and dedication to the Lanyard art.

This is a great tutorial! For those of you having difficulty, here's what helped me:
    1. Its good to have already mastered the basic box and spiral stitches.
    2. Use the same hand he is using (right) so his directions don't further confuse you.
    3. When the stings are wrapped around your finger, memorize the pattern that the strings are placed. This helps when colors get mixed up while you're putting the longer string under all of them.
    4. (Optional) Use the same colors he's using to make it even easier.
    Hope this helps someone.

Great video. i think the hardest part was starting it because I am right handing and i use my left finger to hold it so I kept messing up which went behind what but after that, it was easy to follow. Thank you for posting these!!

Yours is the go-to channel for me when I want to learn a new stitch/knot. In the beginning I used to surf other tuts but I always ended up back to yours, so now I just come here first. One thing: Sometimes it's torturous to watch you trying to get the plastic under another piece; so I suggest that you cut the end of the lace into a point, very simply done just by clipping down one side the the tip diagonally.

i recommend that when starting this stitch instead of your finger use like a pencil or some sort of tube, took me two tries to start it and on my second attempt i tried the pencil and it worked easily.

im pretty sure only the size matters not the color.i think he just said that because it looks better for the swirl part to be to 1 color together not 2 colors together.and the middle would probablly look better with 2 colors instead of 1

Very helpful thank you but after the first like 3 stitches I feel like it's a bit much to do it again and again because it is the same thing. If someone doesn't get it and needs to see it again they can just watch it again. I thought it was going to be different stitches or something because I had so much more video left so I kept watching and I got super bored. Thank you though because it helped a lot.
