- laneyards.com/ - A lanyard (scoubidou, boondoggle) similar to the Corkscrew but with some unique differences.
You will need:
4 pieces of craft lace - two longer pieces of the same color and two shorter pieces that are each a different color
1' of craft lace for the longer pieces and 8'' of craft lace for the shorter pieces will equal about 1'' of lanyard

Say hello on my facebook page: / laneyards
I just completed a Twist with 2 - 12 foot gimps and 1 - 18 foot gimp for a finished 13 and a 1/2 inch Twist Lanyard using your method. This, "Swirl", will be my next project. It kind of boggles the mind to see you do it and I may need to watch the video several times before I get it.
In any case, Thanks for your patience and dedication to the Lanyard art.
This is a great tutorial! For those of you having difficulty, here's what helped me:
1. Its good to have already mastered the basic box and spiral stitches.
2. Use the same hand he is using (right) so his directions don't further confuse you.
3. When the stings are wrapped around your finger, memorize the pattern that the strings are placed. This helps when colors get mixed up while you're putting the longer string under all of them.
4. (Optional) Use the same colors he's using to make it even easier.
Hope this helps someone.
squeal
It helped me thanks 🥰
Great video. i think the hardest part was starting it because I am right handing and i use my left finger to hold it so I kept messing up which went behind what but after that, it was easy to follow. Thank you for posting these!!
Man I use to do these with ease. 15 years later I’m lost lol
Facts lol
I don't know why people don't think this is a good tutorial. I found it extremely helpful and was successful making it.
Yours is the go-to channel for me when I want to learn a new stitch/knot. In the beginning I used to surf other tuts but I always ended up back to yours, so now I just come here first. One thing: Sometimes it's torturous to watch you trying to get the plastic under another piece; so I suggest that you cut the end of the lace into a point, very simply done just by clipping down one side the the tip diagonally.
I have been doing lanyards for years but these are so much better thx
Super fun! To anyone watching I'd recommend using a bit more string than he recommends in the description, but other than that great tutorial
The best explanation ever. It wasn't easy at first but with some practise it works :) Thank you for all your great tutorials!!!! Greetings from Berlin
you give the best tutorials!!!when i want to make something i always watch you!and i subscribed, too!
I've been doing these for as long as I can remember and you have just given me 2 more to try. I am happy when I find new designs to try being that I've been doing the same ones for years. Thanks for sharing:)
i recommend that when starting this stitch instead of your finger use like a pencil or some sort of tube, took me two tries to start it and on my second attempt i tried the pencil and it worked easily.
It slides off
it really helped me alot it was very confusing at first but after 99 attemps i finally got it! thanks so very much you help me alot because now i make money off of them i see them to friends and family ;)
Nyc 1......... Now m famous in ma school n everyone wants to learn it......awesome......
i think this guy deserves more views....
i dont know for the other gues but for me this is a very good video and this stitch is amazing
i love lanyard!im a lanyard fanatic
I really want to do this!!! I have been watching laneyard tutorials for a long time but I am waiting for my gimp to arrive !! It's taking sooo long!!!
This is pretty cool! I will make when my materials arrive in the mail
Great explanation! I did one last summer without looping around my finger. I was just free styling. Oh that was a mess lots of frustration but I finally got it going. This way is so much easier. Thanks!
Lol I learned how to make a spiral one basically doing the same thing cause I did a wrong stitch and just rolled with it
You make everything look so easy
This definelty helped It was really difficult starting it off but I actually got it! Never give up!
This was a big help. I kept trying and I finally did it yayyyy.
the first time a did it i couldnt even start it, but after making some other lanyards i did it again and i made it(today).so if anyones having trouble they should make easier lanyards to do harder ones like the swirl
i love Laneyards i understand you more!
Very goood tutorial clear and slow clear and good light 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
you are the best l only watch your lanyard videos
im pretty sure only the size matters not the color.i think he just said that because it looks better for the swirl part to be to 1 color together not 2 colors together.and the middle would probablly look better with 2 colors instead of 1
He just made I confusing and it didn’t get me anywhere after watching this five times. I went to a camp and they thought me way better
you are my go to for stitches always. I am having a very tough time with the start. probably because I'm a right-handed. One of the strings you say, "wrap it around your finger" but the visual does not appear wrapped. Any suggestions?
Nice vid bro, don't let those haters get you
I tried about 30 times and all I have is a hurt finger😥😢😩😤🤕🤒
When u start it do u have to put your strands that are purple not next to each other can u put it close to each other?
I love all your videos. The way you teach and do the walk through is so easy to follow.
I love your work, you make complicated stuff easier... :-)
OH MY GOSH I THINK I'M DOING IT!!
Diane T. Nice nice so nice
Lol same
I watched this video for my first spiral and tried to start my 2nd one by myself and couldn't do it. I came right back to this video and starting my 2nd one for the 5th time lol great explanation
Nice to see a guy interested in this.
cool I love that it teaches kids to understand it more
Very helpful thank you but after the first like 3 stitches I feel like it's a bit much to do it again and again because it is the same thing. If someone doesn't get it and needs to see it again they can just watch it again. I thought it was going to be different stitches or something because I had so much more video left so I kept watching and I got super bored. Thank you though because it helped a lot.
I did a swirl with just 3strings i remember doing this one but forgot how to do it on your finger and damn it took me 5 tries trying to get that sh4 right but now I got 😁👍
stop being so rude he is just trying to help
Mine doesn't stack like that and I've followed this step by step
excellent...I love this tutorial...practice makes almost perfect/perfect...Thanks a Bunch.
It looks so cool
Quick tip plz tell us how long the gimp should be
Great weave and well done demonstration. I've been looking for how to do this one. Do you know of a way to splice and eye into it to make a lanyard? That would be most helpful.
Mine is not twirling...just one color as a border on each side and the other two colors straight up the center. Any tips?
Very helpful my daughter made her first one thank you 😊
BY GEORGE, I'VE GOT IT! Took me a few tries to start off. And then the light bulb went off. Very difficult stitch. Not recommended for younger kids or beginners...
Hello,
Do you think you can make one easter as in where to put the lanyard string! Please and measure exactly how much string to use? Please?
Btw awesome Vid!!
Question the starting stitch thing is just a wall stitch right
nicely said good work helped me a lot dude
We used to call that the triple barrel back in my camp days
Awesome video!
great tutorial, but i kind of wish that there was music or something to fill up the time when you weren't talking. Other than that, good job! I've never seen a guy interested in this stuff.
Do they have to be the same color for the longer pieces?
just a quick question for the finishing stitch, do you have to do the wall stitch because normally I just doit with whatever stitch I was doing?
Do you still do tutorials cause I really want to learn them and i wanna see new ones like daily and sso I was wonderin if you sill do them?
Those who don't understand, I think you should start on something easier. I tried this one and it came out great. Thanks.
I meant to say swirl, this is the one I was referring too It worked I did it, looks so cool! Love your vids!
I love ur vids and I know how to do a lot
I cant seem to graspe the cocept of the swirl, anyway u can help me ?
Love it!!! Great videoGrazieeeeee!
I want to make the letters SC keychain for my mom out of laneyard. Can you help me?
Is there an easier way to start it?
do we need to use special or long wires to make this
You can go to micheals or joans (both craft stores) and get land yards there I got my kit at micheals
Can u just make 2 the same color and the longer ones 2 different
how much shorter should the other pieces
yu have to know the basic box and spiral stitches to know how to do this pls
I don't get it. I keep on ending up with the wall and, or the brick 😥
I have sum Q's where do you buy lanyards ? are they made in China or Made in USA?
Do you have a step by step pics of this? I wasted my string trying to follow you
how do you know all this
i agree!
I got the start off part but when u started the next part it just didn’t make sense
LANYARDS! Oh, I was obsessed. My mom used to take me to the lil' art store and she'd buy me hella lanyard strings. I couldn't do anything like this, but I was good at the standard ones.
At least he teached the beginning of it cause some people don't teach it.
it might be a little easier if you use a marker or something like that
And I was like: ok, roll this strand over this finger, cross it there, what the heck is this guy doing there?
could u PLZ show ur collection ???
Is this like DNA but without switching?
when you do your 2nd stich after starting it you just do a cork screw?
can you be more detailed with the lengths of the craftlace
thanks so much!! other peoples tutorials are hard to follow
From where do we get lanyard strings please tell me
It is really hard to start
Ikr
which string you have used because I have brought scooby wires which is round in shape and yours is flat
buy craft lace. you can get it at your local Walmart.
Or lanyard
Okay thank you so much. Your videos are very helpful:)
Hi I love your channel
Can you make a playboy bunny? If so plz show a video if you do
Great video. However, I think the lanyard would be easier to get through the loops if you cut it at an angle so it would have a point. You did a great job of explaining the steps and went at a pace that was easy to follow. Thanks.
Can u plzz show me how to start the tornado stitch
yh ur right!
how long are the pieces of gimp?
Is there any other easier way to do thisvits not working for me
I havr done the circle and the square
Thr part where u have to put the second string and the pulling part it destroys
Thank you for his tutorial!
I’m about to do this and I’ll have an update :)
Edit: I gave up :)
Have you made a Wall Stitch lanyard previously?
