Good job. When cleaning the bottom of the hole, it may be advantageous to use a suction bucket instead of the air lift or reverse circulation, particularly in a remote location or in the interest of economy. Take care and best wishes in your endeavors.
How can you do cube test when the concrete truck arrived? Slump test is reasonable but cube test? I thought we need at least 7 days to obtain a "rigid" concrete.
When boring in a bored hole that is dry or without drilling fluid, a soil auger is used. A soil bucket is used after drilling fluid is discharged into the bored hole.
What prevention method to taken if raining happen during boring of bored hole and during casting of bore hole?is there any effect if the bentonite mix with rain?
A good practice would be to cover the hopper on top of the concrete mixer truck with a canvas to minimise rain water during concreting. As for bentonite, priming the mix with new bentonite mix to achieve its desired density and viscosity would do.
Bentonite slurry would be discharge out of the borehole during concreting of the bored pile. A tremie pipe is inserted until the toe of pipe. While concrete raise from the bottom of borehole to the top, bentonite slurry would discharge at the top of pile.
can i ask, why is the casing only support to a certain length? and not all the way down? I Just join this industry as a safety coordinator hoping to know more. thanks!
Deeper casing would require a bigger vibro hammer during installation and extraction which would be cost inefficient. For deep piles, stabilizing fluid would be used.
They should have done a video on how their poor safety on site impacts the surrounding neighborhood of their bore piling. It's nice to have interns to prepare such videos, but it's a different story if you have untrained workers on site pushed by money sucking, greedy shareholders. Currently this company is doing the bore piling in SS8 for Sunway Serene Phase2 without major consideration of the adjacent neighborhoods. The boring rig keeps drilling at max speed even tough once they hit the hard rock already, which caused ground vibrations that has caused major damages to the houses and infrastructure. It is a shame that they can work, bypassing any rules and regulations in this country, but as we all know Sunway (the maincon) has pockets full of cash and therefor is free to do what they want and those citizen in SS 8 & 7 are left helpless, watching their houses cracking all over the place.
I am a layman not engineer and have watched several videos on this subject out of curiousity. This is the most informative and best organized.
We are glad that you liked it.
agreed
The most detailed Geo works ive come across. Thanks and more video on these types.
More to come!
So glad, Imfomation Presentation has Good Impression.
This video is very good, I am an auditor and trying to understand my client's business. I found this very useful and informative
Glad it was helpful! Thanks alot.
Extremely well presented. Detailed, clear and simple to follow. Thanks 🙏
Thanks for your compliment.
Wow what a informative video? Thanks for your work... 👍
A clear and concise explanation of bored piles. Thank you.
Welcome
Very useful video which clearly explains the executional part of Bored piling...Thank you.
Thank you for your sharing! very detailed & love the animation part so much! God Bless!

Very nicely explained with matching illustration.Could easily understand the process.Great video
Thanks a lot 😊
thank you Geohan to have a detail amination to describe about boring operation!
Excellent explanation, the best in UA-cam
Glad it was helpful!
This video explained very clearly about cast in situ bored pile construction. Thanks much.
You are most welcome
Very easy to understand. Thank you for uploading such kinds of knowledge.
It's our pleasure.
thank you soo much, its really detailed and easy to follow wiht the diagram
Very informative and useful! Thanks~
You're most welcome! We would upload more vid about other type of piling and geotechnical works. Stay tune.
Brilliant and informative video, thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
it's a good video, so i can learn easily.thanks
Very good explanations
goood job
Sweet smile❤
Do make more videos on soil exploration and geotechnical engineering.
Loved the animations.
Thanks very much... Your explanation help me understands very well in my work
Glad to hear that!
Good explanation. Good job
Glad it was helpful!
excellent work you are done, it will useful for learners
We will try to do more for engineering students
Great video - really clear - thank you.
Thank you Geohan for the great learning experience!
Thanks Lemon for your effort and contribution!
Good stuff!
Good presentation
Thank you so much 👍
You are welcome

❤thanks
good information thanks!
Good job
Thank you!
Thanks
Thank you for info
My pleasure
Hey Geohan, could you tell me when we are supposed to use soil auger and when to use the bucket?
When boring in a bored hole that is dry or without drilling fluid, a soil auger is used.
A soil bucket is used after drilling fluid is discharged into the bored hole.
thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊

may i know when the bentonite slurry be pouring out?
Bentonite slurry would be discharge out of the borehole during concreting of the bored pile.
A tremie pipe is inserted until the toe of pipe. While concrete raise from the bottom of borehole to the top, bentonite slurry would discharge at the top of pile.
niceee
You don t do a geotechnical study before boring piles? And take sample to know what u re dealing with ?
How many hours the temporary casing be pulled out after casting of concrete?
The temporary casing are extracted upon completion of concreting work.
can i ask, why is the casing only support to a certain length? and not all the way down? I Just join this industry as a safety coordinator hoping to know more. thanks!
Strength will reduce due to no friction of soil
Deeper casing would require a bigger vibro hammer during installation and extraction which would be cost inefficient. For deep piles, stabilizing fluid would be used.
WHAT IS THE SOFTWARE USED TO CREATE THE ANIMATION
It is just PowerPoint.
thank you pretty lady
You are so welcome
