Problem is when you have easy mode s tiers(Drag Feng Lilly Yoshi Jin Shaheen Nina etc.)it really makes you question why these guys put so much effort into a character that's at best mid or 3rd place especially in international tournaments consistently for the past few years. These aren't a bunch of buddies playing games together on the weekend these tournaments have a lot of money on the line from thousands to even hundreds of thousands possibly even millions if some rumors are to be believed. I wouldn't take that much risk if I was pro on a character like Steve whose been shown again and again at tournaments to be mid at best good for losers or runners up 3rd place if you play absolutely peak Not saying balanced Steve is bad just saying at that level why wouldn't you want the busted illegal characters that so clearly over deliver your own mains with less effort and more consistency.
@@GamerNemyehh that's the thing right? the top tiers execution wise are way more comfortable than the bottom tiers. My main point is they should at least raise the execution level on top tiers and nerf the execution level of bottom tiers. Dragunov combos are much easier than Devil Jin and Steve with much better output. That remains constant despite so many patches by Devs. The character is top 3 consistently in every tournament and top 2 in every major tournament even online there's an army of Dragunov Nina Shaheen Law Yoshi Lilly Jin players. Playing Steve and Devil Jin in such a toxic environment is like putting a handicap on yourself. Like Tekken 7 Evo Japan which went viral in the general FG community for the Leroy 7 title. Dragunov especially is close to that even with so many Nerfs the character remains an absolute beast. Close seconds are Yosh lawi Jin Shaheen Nina lilly who are like top 5 in every tournament. It's like these 5-6 characters have established a monopoly over Tekken 8 no matter how much the Devs nerf them or buff devil Jin and Steve the tournament and online listings remain the same. In my opinion if the Devs are just going to keep quality of life buffing these gimmick moves like lionheart Morning crow Outfox knowing the character will remain pretty weak they should make the combos execution simpler because that level of combo damage should not demand that level of execution with so many just frames and stance transitions. P.s this has happened before in Tekken 7 when they nerfed Akuma too much but made the execution simpler.
@@AgentGhostRealthings only work once in a month for Steve mains which is an objective reality in stats and if you're playing with Steve in tournaments look at your brave soul while ulsan picks Drag and does a 90% guaranteed combo. I remember Low high getting depressed and hating his life after getting eliminated at the Tekken 8 world cup while using Steve. That level of output should not demand that level of execution. They should simplify the bottom tiers

Because, as a Steve main, when things work, is soooo refreshing. And when you know the match up, it’s even more refreshing.
