It’s truly been a blessing to watch this man play football for more than a decade now. Never have I witnessed someone play the beautiful game in such an aesthetically pleasing way, and never have I experienced someone more calm and decisive in the biggest moments. A true pleasure to enjoy your footballing art, and an absolute honor to have a person like you as the captain of our team. Gracias Don Andrés.

Ball controll was his speed, pass was his dribling. Camp Nou his home and teammates his family. He didnt play. He was playing. Enemies was his toys. He was never great.. He was magical. He was something else.

When I see Messi it's obvious that what he does is impossible. Nobody can do what he does and it sometimes looks so difficult you wonder why he even tries. But with Iniesta nothing ever looks difficult. He makes even the most difficult task look easy. I don't know how many times I have seen him stand on the sideline under pressure and seemingly dribble his way even further out to go past his man without ever having the ball go over the line. It's like the pitch is bigger when he needs it. He is like a liquid, getting into places where you didn't know there was any space.
I've always said young players should look at Iniesta. They can watch Messi all they want but they will never be able to do what he does because it's physically not possible. Iniesta is what football looks like when you have mastered all the basic skills of the game. Perfect technique when it comes to receiving the ball, passing the ball and dribbling the ball. And he reads the game better than almost anyone. A lot of great people I have never met have made my life better by doing what they do, and Iniesta is one of them. I wish to one day just shake his hand and say thank you for making life a little bit more beautiful.

Andrés Iniesta, jugaba al fútbol. Jugaba de verdad. Y lo hizo como pocos. Un talento, educado en la mejor escuela, que supo jugar con los mejores. Habilidad, técnica, inteligencia, criterio, lectura, esfuerzo y temple.
Jamás lo vimos hacer mal su trabajo o a desgano. Habitualmente jugaba bien, o mejor. Siempre hacia lo que pedia la jugada y el partido. Tenía tanta capacidad deportiva, que hacía que lo difícil, parezca sencillo. Disfrutaba su trabajo, le facilitaba la tarea a sus compañeros y nos hizo la vida mas bella a todos.
Eso, lo hacía ejemplar.
Señores, Iniesta, no era extraterrestre, ni tenía superpoderes. No era un fenómeno o un genio. No.

Es quizás el volante creativo más talentoso que e visto en mi vida y quizás nunca volveré a ver a alguien igual o parecido. Cuando uno describe el juego de Iniesta, no es solo la técnica en el manejo del balón, es como protege el balón, es su inteligencia táctica, gran visión panorámica, la capacidad de darle pausa al juego cuando lo ameritaba y acelerarlo de igual forma de manera espontánea, ese control absoluto de los ritmos del juego, complementado con esa capacidad esqisita y única de anticipar o leer el resultado de una jugada 3, 4 o 5 movimientos o pases en sucesión en poco menos de un segundo, mostrando una rapidez mental sobre saliente, es por eso que le dicen "El Cerebro", pero a mi me gusta el apelativo mago-profeta porque era mágico. Andrés Iniesta, inolvidable, gracias Andrés por tantos años de buen fútbol y espectáculo.
