- Independent candidate of Dimapur III constituency, Kahuto Chishi speaking on poll violence which occurred at Kushiabill stated that serious actions will be taken against the Gaon Bura and Council. Kahuto stated that the Council and Gaon Bura made the resolution to allow only the head of the family to cast vote for the entire family to avoid rush and confusion

What GB Kahuto Chishi Sümi did was to go and ask the GBs to follow election protocol. They were trying to cast votes by the head of the family for every members. Gaonbura designation is a dignified status. The concerned gaonbura indulging in malpractice is against all the rights and laws of the land.
