The @IEA’s ‘Net Zero by 2050’ report estimates that the energy transition will create 14 million jobs by 2030, and approximately 5 million workers from the fossil fuel industry will lose their jobs.

    Our Speaker: Javier Garcia Colino / javier-garcia-colino
    Senior Associate Director for Talent & Careers at IE University
    Javier is a Spanish global actor with a strong interest in Impact & Development. Javier studied Industrial Engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, with an exchange year in TU Delft, in The Netherlands, for a master's in Mechanical Engineering. He also holds a master's in International Relations from IE University in Madrid.
    Javier has worked in the semiconductor industry as a designer engineer. He worked for over four years at ASML, at the forefront of the highest technological developments in materials, manufacturing processes, high-end performance, and micro and nano-scale compliance. After obtaining his master's in IR, Javier shifted to a commercial role related to innovation technology and the circular economy. First, on a start-up and later at Minsait, he led business development teams and marketing strategies in the electoral processes unit.
    In the past four years, Javier has been the key developer of the International Relations, Development & Cooperation, Social Impact, and Sustainability sectors at IE University. In his role, Javier leads a team to increase the presence of IE and IE students and alumni in the sustainability and impact environment. This is done through agreements with institutions, organizations, and companies, and it also helps IE profiles develop their careers in this direction. As an expert in professional development in these fields, he has contributed to conferences such as the Career Development Roundtable 2023 at the IMF in Washington, DC.

    Anastasia is NEAH’s Head of Communications. With a master’s in Political science and six years of experience in business education, Anastasia launched 17+ popularization and multistakeholder products for the public, academia, and corporate audience in the field of climate and energy transition, such as the Green Light Schneider Electric Award, the Decarbonization modeling workshop series, and the Summer Energy and Sustainability School.
    She’s a co-author of nine research papers and six business e-courses, including the «Energy Transition Globally and in Resource-Rich Countries» course for GNAM globalnetwork.io/.
