Thankyou Steve, insightful as usual, I can't believe I bought a lowrider frame to piece together myself then to discover your doing this up. I put two small hubs on my last ebike to make it semi legal as one of your vids showed, the acceleration is brilliant.
Thats going to look fantastic mate "what a sleeper" when your finished with can i have it pleeeeese...trouble is im all the way down here in new.south.wales Australia...keep up the great work mate rob..
I ended up building a wheel with an 80mm rim because it mentioned on the classic cycles website that on a wide rim a 4 1/4 tyre shouldnt run more than 30psi or it could pop the seal, and I wanted the option of going higher, the tyre is still wide anyway, just the profile looks normal instead of that rectangular look, all good to me. As for the caliper position, that top right corner may not work, because you have rear facing dropouts, if you put it in the same position as on an MTB it will block the rotor as you try and remove the wheel. On an MTB the wheel drops down, so its fine. And where ever you put it you may want to allow for slotted mounts so you can slide it back and forth in case the chain length changes if you alter the gearing.
I'm glad I'm starting out with a spoiler, it already has the disc brakes mounts. On my bike, I'm going 72v 40ah and a 5k motor 4'' fat tire. I'm going to stay with the 24x2.25 wheel in the front.
Been watching your videos so I've bought a new bike and ordered a kit, I'm disabled through back pain and getting bored of swimming every day so looking forward to get out in the countryside
I'll have a try of that if it needs more clearance not sure if the disc would touch the spokes on the hub if I did that but definitely an interesting idea to try 👍
The new wheel looks great in black with the black tyre on it I would leave it as it is. Cruising down the beach on this is going to be a head turner this is a real game changer.
If ur front forks are triple clams u could always look for a new clamp a bit wider maybe something off a pit/dirt bike Back wheel looks mint i had one of these as a kid but set single with pedal back brake and same size wheels back and front and lets say if u dont have a motor u will have some big legs by end of summer lol stick the the wheel mate get some rim stickers to make it more eye appealing its not allways about size its about stance and Comfort
Put the rear calliper in between the rear frame tubes it will look much better that way. Get another wheel same size for the front so they match and that will give u the room you need for the brakes. We need to see more of the dog on the channel aswell 😍
Interested in disk brake on front hub.. I thought had to change hub? Just cant add disk mount? I dont have thread's on hub?? Wanted to add double disk on front? Have same rims but 26" Back looks sweet! Brackets for brakes.. spot weld,?
I'm in PA. I use to repair black and white TV's, VCRs, radios, radio control gas airplanes helicopters, cars, trucks, phones, game systems. Now I'm opening an electric bike shop. How can I send you a video of the electric bikes I'm working on?
its interesting ill give it that, the black wheel is fine i think considering its only 1kw, the speed won't be super great with such wide tyres anyway. I wonder if its possible to fit another motor into the front wheel ? it would make it faster without making it look much different.
Been watching from the start I've got a dirt suffer from back in the day it has 20 inch wheels do you think it is possible to make it electric cheers thanks for keeping us entertained
You’ve obviously never rode a low rider chopper before it’s not for speed it’s to make a statement turn heads and look nice I have half size fat boy rat bike and I love the crap out of it these things are hand build and have many hours in you can’t just go out and buy these
I think the back wheel looks totally fine . Looks real good in all black as well . Going to be great cruising down to the beach

Lookin great Steve! I'm getting caught up on this series. Been away for bit. I can't wait to see how this cool bike progresses. Great job!

Rear wheels fine . It's not worth the hassle for quarter inch. Cool project that is mate 👌

Hey bro see if you can mount the front brake disc on the inside of the spacer then put spacer back on rim
I'll have a try of that if it needs more clearance not sure if the disc would touch the spokes on the hub if I did that but definitely an interesting idea to try 👍
@@DudeStuff can't you just grind the space down and make it a bit thinner ?
Cool one off build that, you should make a few they will sell due to their uniqueness.

Looks much better with black tyre and black wheel

Would look great but you need to weld the mount on top for chain-tension adjustment
It's a beast 💪 been super busy Steve but I will get round to see you soon mate 👍
Be good to catch up soon mate hope you're well
Looking good sofar Dude, how are you going to fit the brake brackets, by welding them on ?
Yep it's going to the fabricators
wont that front disc fit on the inside of thar spacer?

What brand is that ? can you give a list of all your parts you used ?
It will look sick when it's done, looking forward to seeing it cruising 👊👊👊👊👊
Plenty wide enough dude ….can see this bike ending up in some trendy Rock pub/club …Orange County Choppers better watch out 👍🇬🇧

I don't need it to be fast just simple no need to complicate it tbh
Been watching from the start I've got a dirt suffer from back in the day it has 20 inch wheels do you think it is possible to make it electric cheers thanks for keeping us entertained
No idea what that is tbh but you can pretty much make anything electric depending on time and budget!
Just googled it there's already converted electric ones on UA-cam
Wow would definitely turn heads but I think the wife would cut my head off very expensive haha
You and Andy could pimp my ride haha
Remember..It's not the size of the wheel, it's how it performs!! 1/2INCHDON'T MEAN SHIT! lol
Rome wasn't built in a day 👍🏻✌🏻💯
Your gabby is still better looking than the other gabby 🤣🤣
She always will be 😆
Looks cool, will be horrible to ride so at lest you should get a few quid back for it, as it will be fairly unique
Already ride it and enjoy it it won't be for sale I like it too much
