Once again, you hit it out of the park, Ash! I’ve been there twice, and now I HAVE to go back based on your video. Thanks for all the info and content on the NPs!!
We used Ash's itinerary and had an absolutely fabulous time in Olympic in August! We spent two days in Port Angeles and hit Hurricane Ridge (totally fogged in and never saw the mts. the whole time we were there!), main visitor's center, Lake Crescent, Madison Falls, Sol Duc Falls, Resort and visitor's center and Marymere Falls. From Forks, we hit Beach 4 for the best tide pooling EVER, Ruby Beach, Rialto Beach, Hoh Rainforest (late in the day with NO line whatsoever to get in), Tree of Life, Big Sitka Spruce Tree Trail, Gatton Creek Falls and Quinalt Rainforest. We loved the lodge there and highly recommend it if it's cold and rainy as it has a roaring fireplace. We also did Mt. Rainier on our trip.
It totally depends on the time of year, but generally, you'll want to save Rainier and Cascades for later in the summer after the snow melts. Olympic has a much longer visiting season than the other two.
Hello, greetings from Germany. I would like to visit Washington State and Olympic in March next year. Is this a good time for a week in the park? Or is a week too much. And which park area will be not avaible in march because of bad weather?
You'll want to read through this article for a month-by-month update about what to expect in Olympic: www.dirtinmyshoes.com/the-best-time-to-visit-olympic-national-park/
