Thank you for the review! We're expecting our first baby this summer and I wanted something we could use long term and grow into. The Mockingbird single to double stroller has been my main interest so it's very nice to hear such a thorough review of the various pros and cons... and thank you for linking the stroller caddy as an alternative :)
Hi! I know that they currently only ship within the United States. Hopefully they will be able to take on international shipping soon because it is a great stroller!
I wish you could buy just the adapters to move to main seat down and then use the infant options. I think by the time my baby is ready for the regular seat (instead of bassinet or car seat) my toddler will be too big for stroller at all.
I have this stroller and got the same itzy ritzy bag for it! It's not recommended by the company, but I still world face the bottom seat with the bassinet on top, but the bottom seat then doesn't recline at all so if you have a toddler that naps in the stroller it isn't a good option, and once again do so at your own risk since the company doesn't have it listed as a configuration. I was considering getting the snack tray, but I think I'm going to just get the brica pods instead. Great video!
Thank you! Yes, I did try to still do it forward facing as well and didn't like the fit. I really wanted to make it work! Haha. 😉 I contacted the company directly and they said it's not an option with the configurations, but I still wanted to try it out. I agree. I watched a video where someone still at theirs up that way.
@@AutumnRomano I also know someone who put the bassinet on the bottom but that makes me nervous because I feel like the stroller would be top heavy. My oldest is almost 3 so sitting super upright doesn't bother him. The trade off is that the frame would have had to been longer to comfortably fit the front seat forward facing and that would probably be annoying when using it with 2 toddler seats
Thanks for the review! I have a single Mockingbird stroller that I got when my son was born last January. They didn't have the double stroller yet. Now we're expecting again and I love my single stroller so I am sooo undecided about what to do - stick with the single stroller, sell and buy the double mockingbird stroller or get a cheaper double stroller... I also have a bassinet and it looks so annoying for the toddler....
Congratulations!! ❤️ Totally understand. That's a tough choice. I was unsure about how my toddler would feel, but she truly doesn't mind. Luckily, she loves being in the stroller. I know that it wouldn't work for everyone though.
Hi! This is not a jogging stroller so it is not made for that. I'm sure that there are plenty of people who still run with it (I am not a runner so I haven't tried), but there are strollers that would be better suited for running.
I have a friend who’s recently bought the double stroller by this brand and she’s able to have her toddler forward facing in the front as well as her infant car seat fits. Maybe yours is like different pieces or something?
@@AutumnRomano Oh okay I see. I’m praying my family gets this for me and I don’t have to come out of pocket haha. I’m a big nature walker and my kids loooooove the outdoors especially my 1 year old. 🤎
I hope they are able to get it for you! That would be wonderful. 🤗 If you are ever interested in secondhand, Goodbuy Gear is a great company that I trust. I sold my Mockingbird carriage and other baby products through them once Emi outgrew them.
Thank you for your review and update! By any chance, have you used the stroller as a single or double while jogging or running? If so, how do you think it did vs. walking?
Thank you! I have not used it for jogging or running so I can't really speak to how good it is with that. Unfortunately, I'm not much of a jogger or runner. 😬😉
Thoughts on the bucket type seats and size? They don’t look very comfortable and back seems small, like a toddler might become to tall for it before they even reach weight limit.
My daughter loves it and is still comfortable. She'll be 3 in June and was in the 60th percentile for height at her February doc appointment (not super tall, but not short for her age). She's on the lighter side so she'll definitely hit the height limit before the weight limit. She gives us no pushback with riding in the stroller. ☺️
Thanks for the review. The toddler seat only facing backwards with the bassinet or car seat is one of the things that has me second guessing buying this stroller. I really like it but I feel like it’ll bother me so much. That being said, you looked like your were having a hard time buckling in your toddler with the bassinet in the way. Is it uncomfortable? It just seems like not a lot of space. Thanks again!
Hi! I haven't had any more difficulty buckling in my toddler with the bassinet attached. I understand it's tough to make the decision about having your toddler rear-facing. It works out well for us, but I get that it's not for everyone. I hope that, whatever you choose, you love it! 😊
Yes, I purchased the stroller caddy separately. It's not a Mockingbird product, but I love it and it works well with the stroller. 😊 The link is in the description.
If you were to use the infant insert in the top seat (instead of the carriage/bassinet), then can the bottom seat be forward facing? Thank you for your very informative videos!
Thank you! That's a great question. The Mockingbird website does not show a configuration with the infant insert and the bottom seat facing out. I think this is because you would want to have your infant laying flat and it would still cause the issue of there not being enough space in between the two seats to allow for the boottom seat to face out. I have seen, on Mockingbird's Instagram, a picture where the person put their infant on the bottom (still rear-facing) and their toddler was at the top, forward-facing. The toddler's feet were then on the bottom of the infant seat though, so that could be tough if you have a kicky toddler.
Hey! Thanks for reaching out. I don't use the car seat much, but, I'll make sure to document the next time I do. 😊 It might be faster/easier to check Mockingbird's website and Instagram account, though. I have seen a few pictures.
I’m really interested in this stroller! However, two things are holding me back. First the weight. Second, since this is a tandem stroller, I worry that when both toddler seats are used, and facing outward (which is how I think the kids will want to roll more frequently) I won’t be able to see my baby at the bottom. Any thoughts on this?
Definitely understandable. 🙂 Any double stroller is going be heavy, but I think that the wheels on this one work really well and it handles very nicely. I wouldn't take it on a bumpy trail with two kids in it. That would be tough because it's not made for that. It is made to hold up to 45 lbs per seat though, so hopefully that leads to getting a lot of use out of it. Yes, if both toddler seats are forward facing, it would be tougher to see the bottom seat. The canopy does have a mesh panel and a peek-a-boo window in the back though which could help with that.
Hi! Can I ask how tall is your husband and how was his experience with this stroller? I am only 5’3 so I am sure this stroller will work for me. I was watching another review on this and they said the stroller isn’t good for tall people due to them possibly always kicking on the brakes. I’m not sure what they define as “tall” as my husband is around 5’11 :)
That's interesting. My husband has no issue when using this stroller. He is 5'10" and really appreciates that he can adjust the handlebar for his height. I'm only 5' so it's nice that this is an easy adjustment that we can make.
What is the age range, length, and weight limit for the bassinet? My baby just turned a month and I want to purchase the bassinet for the stroller but feel he might’ve outgrown it already :/
Hi. Mockingbird recommends up to 6 months, but it can hold up to 25lbs. I don't know about length limits, but the dimensions for the carriage are on their website. hellomockingbird.com/products/stroller-carriage#19202354675801
I haven't, personally, used two bassinets, but, yes, this stroller is made for use with two bassinets. I have a link to Mockingbird's website in this video's description. You can find a configuration chart there or on my blog that shows the multiple setups that you can use with the stroller. I have seen pictures on their Instagram of real people using two bassinets with twins and it looks great!

One picture shows them rear-facing and another shows them facing opposite directions. Both pictures are of the seats flat, though. I never used the seat in sleeping position since I purchased the carriage. I know that my daughter has fallen asleep multiple times in a car seat though and her feet are up in that so I don't think she would have minded. Sorry to hear that it bothered your child. I hope you found something that they loved! ❤️
