Some of you need to sit and educate yourselves after reading your comments. Fedor is NOT able to stop what’s happening and nor can he solely do anything about it. It’s illegal to protest in Russia and not smart to speak out against the government. I’m certain they feel the same as we all do about what’s happening but they are putting their personal safety first, and Fedor has an American wife to protect who currently could be in more danger as a result of her birth place. Leave them alone and stop expecting Fedor to single handedly stop what is happening for Gods sake.

I was born in 1985 ( so... Really old lol) in Durban, South Africa. What followed was some of the most awesome years of my life. No, I wasn't in immediate danger even though SA is perceived to be a very dangerous country. Yes, we also had to get dropped of and picked up to school. For me, my mum was a teacher at my school so, no problems there. I had the most full and pleasant memories. Afternoons, were always at home with my housekeeper/ nanny. She was like a second mother to me. To this day, I still remember the scent of her clothes, the feel of her embrace and the calming voice she had. Then I would watch cartoons, play with my toys and my friends at the park that was right across from my house. We would play until dusk, until the massive deep orange sun would start to retreat and the crickets were all we'd hear. I would go home, watch my parents cook and one would get me showered etc. My family and I would eat always, a beautiful home cooked meal and we'd all watch TV or my dad would help with some homework. One of the best memories I have is of, hot nights with all the lights of and sparkling, green little orbs in the air - glow worms. That was magic for me. It was like that every weekday. Weekends were of me and my family, relaxing ( to me it felt like that) then having bbqs with my parents friends who were family to us. Going to the beaches every weekend. Trying out outstanding restaurants and always ending with watching the sun retreat and then finally vanish on the oceans horizon. My parents would have parties until late while we listened to good music and always the kids would be playing until we fell asleep in our parents arms. If there was ever a moment I could go back to in life, it would be the moment I started to feel sleepy in my dad's arms. Now, I'm 36, I parent alone and New Zealand is my home. My 15 year old just txted me from school to say that he is going to a friend's house after school. My my, where does time disappear to? Here's to making sure that my son has the most awesome memories and that the biggest concern of his day is still the same old question he asks everyday, " Mum what's for dinner?" I answer and it's met with either a happy "Yessss" or a " bruh"
Here's to happy memories and moments everyone 💐❤️

Then I used to catch the school bus for two years during middle school. Then cleveland public school stopped using school buses so we used public transportation.

Here in Bulgaria we had the similar experience like Fedor had in Russia. Actually I never heard to this moment that someone need to sign you off from school to leave. When school day ends you just go freaking home. Back then we did not have school buses and I always asked myself watching american movies why the hell are they using them? There is great public transport here are they don't having it there in America? Now we have school buses but back then no. About bullying back then was not a thing here it just was not existing or very insignificant thing. Of course things changed probably till this day. I was 1st grade in 1991 now I'm 37 years old and that was my experience in school. Many things probably changed during the years but I'm not in touch with them since I don't have kids by myself to know what is going on now. I want to tell you that you are a great couple and to wish you all the best in life.

The vast majority of America is very safe, it's only certain cities and areas are dangerous, these are widely known... Also America is very conscious about child abuse and safety. Until high school we had to be signed out of leaving early, otherwise, being picked up after school or the bus, there is no sign out, but of course they are more careful with younger kids.

The funniest story for me about the difference between my UK school and my husband's Russian school. Was when I was explaining how at my first school (elementary school) in the 80's we had the worst toilet paper. It was called Izal and it was just like baking parchment paper! It was terrible! I was telling my husband about it. I ssked if he had the same awful toilet paper in his Russian school. He said no he did not. So there was me thinking "wow! Russia had better toilet paper than us! I said, " so did you have good normal toilet paper then? Then he said, no we had newspaper!!!! We laughed so much at this funny situation. There was I thinking that post soviet Russia had better toilet paper than the UK's school and the way my husband delivered his response was very funny. I have to say I never thought that the Russian sense of humour would be so close to the sense of humour we have in the South East of the UK.

Me I remember in highschool, Iwas bullied by a higher level student because he thought I spit on him, I was afraid that time... But looking back I should have spit at him since he is a jerk.... I wish I was strong back then.... In my country at 5, I commute or walk to school and vice versa..... I was also part bully when I call someone names.. but at the same time bullied as well. There was one time after district division exam which means I will not be joined by my classmates because we are assigned at different shifts..my shift was the last .. while going down to the school grounds , 3 guys approach me to extort money.. I was tired of the exam .. I was pissed and pass through them...hours later I felt that those kids will exact revenge..but luckily it isn't....one of my classmates bring a hermit crab at school and was stung in the neck...wahahaha... we have also prom for Juniors and seniors.in highschool. Junior isn't fun for me... seniors would be good but someone called out school that there is bomb threat... Everyone is pissed... So some students Go to parks and malls wearing formal wears....

I grew up in the country in the US' South so my mother drove me to the bus stop and stayed with me until I was on the bus. It wasn't safe. Sometimes bad things would happen to Black children if we were walking on the road. For example, my friend was chased off the road while she was walking home. The driver tried to run her over. Even though we were little children our white neighbors didn't have good intentions for us. So, we understood our parents extra rules.

Not even speaking on the Russian school experience the US school experience is going to differ from region to region and districts. People in the north (NY,PA,MA) they use public transit and walk to school at much younger ages than people who are in places like where I grew up (NC,GA,SC). You could literally do a years worth of content on how school systems differ in the USA lol. As nice as this video is I can't hope enough that you are not in Russia. Outside of the atrocities in Ukraine they have been showing videos where they are treating Black people who are trying to leave Ukraine and these are African students but they are turning them back to Kiev . Now obviously you are not Nigerian and neither am I but it's black history month in the USA and we can't let our ancestors kids be treated like that it's crazy. Russia , Poland, Romania none of these countries will let these students flee.

I know about the two shifts elementary school. I lived in Germany and in the fourth and fifth grades I had second shift. We had a very safe area and I walked four blocks to school.
I think Vika had a very unsafe area. It is the same in Boston as Fidor's area. If they don't live far away, by bus, and you live close enough to school, you go to and from school with your siblings, neighbor kids , or by yourself.

They live in Russia, it’s illegal to protest and not smart to openly speak out against your government there. Their lives could be in danger. Victoria is also American which is a problem right now. I’m sure their personal safety and Fedor particularly protecting his wife is way more important than caring if you are offended.

You guys seem to forget that they are in a country that doesn’t allow people to speak out against the government. If you haven’t noticed the Russian citizens who are protesting right now are literally risking their lives. They are not in a country like the US where you have free speech. So quit expecting them to bring this matter up. I’m sure they are very aware of what’s going on and wish they could help. But there is really nothing that they can do. So leave them alone about it. If they could bring it up I’m sure that they would have already done so. But they can’t. @Shala Perez
